Excellent way to experience the panama canal. Their service was great, starting with the very comfortable and safe bus ride to meet the boat. There was an excellent bilingual narration of the history of the canal as you move through the three locks. The crew served a very nice lunch in a very organized way that allowed plenty of time for everyone. Overall, it was a great experience that I highly recommend to anyone that wants to experience the canal while they are in Panama City.

Great tour company and I'm glad I picked them for the Panama Canal boat tour. Every member of the staff was friendly and spoke great English. The tour guide gave equal time speaking English and Spanish.

We took the tour that went through half the locks going southbound. The tour description implies this is a half day excursion but in reality, it is full day. We were picked up at 9:10 am and dropped off at 6 pm. The locks are really neat to experience in action but there is a lot of waiting at each lock. Honestly, by the third lock, my interest level dropped significantly. If we could have experienced just the last two locks (which are immediately after each other), the tour would have been better. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I did the tour but it is just a long day of doing nothing.

If seeing the Panama Canal is on your bucket list, this is the company to do it with. Book direct for the best price. They’ll pick you up at your hotel early.

Breakfast/ lunch were not Michelin Star meals, but were not bad. Bring cash for snacks/ beers if that’s your jam.

We booked on Viator for $145 a person "Panama Canal Partial Tour - Southbound Direction" tour. They confirmed via Viator message right away about detailed pick up info will be messaged me in the afternoon a day prior to our departure date.

Our hotel (Residence Inn) wasn't on the list of pick up stops, and I messaged them and they accommodate our request. It was very close to JW Marriott which was one of their pick-up location so I guess that's why they were okay to allow this.

They messaged (via Viator/email) a day prior around noon about picked detail and also to do final confirm. We were picked up at 8:55am promptly. It was a ~12 person passenger van, with two other guesses in it already. It was a ~45 min (bumpy ride due to poor road condition) ride to a departure port at Gamboa. Boat departed right before 10am. It was a Sunday tour, we had probably ~100 people on the ship.

Everyone was given a wrist band and also a number card for later on to pick up your lunch (bagged lunch, including salad, fruit, a cup of soda, a turkey wrap sandwich, and a cookie). The ship has several decks, including 2.5 level of indoor AC seating/dining area. They have a little bar where you can purchase snack & beverages (including beer). Cup of water is available free too. They have several bathroom (individual ones) onboard.

A dual language (English and Spanish) live tour guide told us everything we should know about the canal and locks through the tour, it was very informative and interactive!

Lunch was provided right around noon after we exited from Pedro Miguel locks and sailing to Miraflores locks. That was a perfect timing for everyone to do down to the AC'ed dining room to eat and everyone will have enough time to return to deck to see our ship passing through Miraflores locks.

Our ship docked at Causeway Amador around 2:15pm (Right by the PANAMA sign). According to the guide, it was fairly early comparing with normal tour. Then our driver was there waiting for us and drove us back to our hotel.

Overall, although not a full canal transit tour, we still enjoyed it a lot and felt with this tour going through Pedro Miguel & Miraflores Locks (3 descending in total), we felt very satisfied didn't feel the need to spend a whole day for the full transit.

10/10 recommend this tour to anyone!

This tour company moves like clockwork and is very good at what they do. My full tour of the Panamá Canal was great, thanks to Panamá Marine Adventures. Very experienced captain, and Gus was excellent as a tour guide. I highly recommend.

Great trip, absolutely recommend. Been dreaming of fully transiting the canal for as long as I can remember. It absolutely lived up to the anticipation. Food and staff were great.

This crew does an amazing job with an up close and personal tour of the canal. The half-day trip was perfect and well-run. Highly recommend booking your canal tour with them!

No question. The highlight of our trip to Panama! What an experience. Leaves early, at 7 a.m., so that it can avoid the mid-day heat and boat traffic. Enters from the Pacific, passing under the Bridge of the Americas, and through all three sets of the MiraFlora locks, through the Gaillard cut, under the Centennial Bridge, and on to Colon. A half day trip drops you at Gambo, which I would recommend, as you find yourself back in Panama City by noon. Great breakfast and lunched served. Great viewing from all decks, but especially the top deck. Clean, modern, and very accommodating. The staff are eager to assist and please, and always smiling. Excellent presentation of all facts Panama Canal by Eduardo, in both perfect English and Spanish. He can answer any question, so do not hesitate to ask. You truly get the full experience of what it is like to pass through the canal from the working level of the canal, something you would miss on a large cruise ship. The engineering alone is worth the price. Cannot recommend this enough. One of the great highlights of the trip and of our lives. Do not miss this experience.

If you love history and/or science, taking a boat ride through the locks is a cool experience and worth the price. It's expensive though and there were way too many people on the boat. My advice is to get to the boat EARLY so you can get a spot to sit or a spot at the front of the ship for the best photos of the canal. On Saturday the boat leaves in the morning and goes from Pacific to Atlantic (the locks raise the boat and you get off near Gamboa) and on Sunday the boat starts in the afternoon and goes the opposite direction starting near Gamboa and going toward the Pacific (ships are lowered in the locks). Do you want to experience the boat being raised or lowered? The boat i was on was also ahead of all the other tourist boats so it got to see the gates open. Bring a hat and sunscreen!

We booked a partial crossing of the Panama Canal with this company and we were not disappointed. This was our first time in Panama and we did not know what to expect. We were staying in the Summit Rainforest Resort which is about 40 minutes outside Panama City. They said they picked up customers from their hotels but we were not in town. I email them and they agreed that our hotel was not a regular pickup. But they agreed to do it because it was near where we would get on the boat. We’re supposed to checkin in person the day before but we were able to by phone and they gave us a specific time for pickup 10:05. The van arrive with other passengers at exactly 10:05. How they could be so precise 18 hours before is a mystery to me. Gus was the tour guide/historian on the boat. He was great. He knew the history, politics, biology and lots of details about the canal. I wanted to soak in every bit but others were not as interested, talking loudly over Gus’ talk. If we had ear buds that connect to his microphone like tour guides elsewhere, those of us who want to listen can while those who are not as interested can do what they want. Even missing some of the narration, the tour was worth it.

I would not recommend a full passage unless you’re going by cruise ship. The experience of going through these historic original locks was wonderful. Watching the waterline rise and fall was fascinating but after two or three times, that’s all I needed. We went southbound and I hear northbound may be more dramatic as you go up instead of down.

I took the North-Bound Panama Canal Transit Tour, on 30 March 2019 (for my Birthday). My Guide was Gus, A Funny, and Knowlegeable Man. I enjoyed the Tour, the Gift Shop, and the Information regarding the different "things" about the Canal, and the surrounding areas (including a Famous Prison on the Canal). I must say, I missed the Canal Tour in 2018, but making it this time, on my Birthday, made the "missed time" moot. The "ship" was neither too large, or too small... but "Just Right". Plenty of Sitting, or Standing Room. And all of the passengers were (to my recollection) nice enough to allow me, and others, to get to, and occupy space, to take our own photos/videos. If nothing else, I commend Gus, and the Crew of the Ship "Pacific Queen" Panama, for a Safe and Pleasant Journey. 😊
