Seagull Cove Resort

We were here for a full week and absolutely loved our stay. The rooms feel private and are very comfortable. The hotel and grounds are well kept and give you a beautiful sense of place. You can even see monkeys in the trees if you pay attention. And such a gorgeous view over the bay! The staff is very attentive, friendly and welcoming. They were also accommodating with vegetarian food needs. Can’t wait to go back.

We saw other hotels nearby and were happy to be staying at the Seagull Cove Resort instead.

The best hotel in Boca Chica! The service is 5-star world class all around. And everything else just adds to how special this place is. We traveled at the end of June checking in on Sunday-Tuesday and had the entire place it ourselves. Beds/pillows are very comfortable and shower has plenty of hot water and pressure. The free easy parking was great to have. The Seagull property itself is the best in Boca chica. All the bungalows are very private and have wonderful views of the bay. The beach is the best in the area! The tiki bar was so awesome and being able to sit on the floating dock during sunset with drinks was very special. Not to mention the food! Breakfast to dinner all 5-star 100% perfect. We had a boat pick us up right from the dock and they took us on a wonderful day trip to all the islands. Only wish we would have stayed longer. You could easily stay here 4 nights and not get bored. Next time we will stay longer.

Juan and the whole team are so kind and great and very helpful. The view from the bungalows is wonderful and you can't stop looking at the sea. We even saw monkeys each day (and a cute little baby monkey) and some lizards. We really had a wonderful stay here and would come again. Water from tap was the best in all Panama! Food at the restaurant was delicious.

Service is over the top. The new owners are investing in growing the place a little. The first addition was a golf cart path down to the beach. Fantastic addition. Bungelows are nice and cozy. Each of them has a great view. Location is great for fishing. Food has been great so far. We will be returning with friends.

Great property. Service was excellent. The food was especially great. Rooms are large and comfortable. My only issue was that the wifi did not work in bungalow 5. There isn't really much around. There is a small store in Boca chica but that's about it.

Amazing staff, beautiful resort and a wonderful location for vacation, events and relaxation. I am very impressed with everyone and the reception/restaurant employees always had a smile on their faces, eager to help and provided a five star quality experience.

Perfect place. Stunning view, good meals, nice rooms. We loved the stay and definetly want to come back and stay longer. Bocas Chica and the Segull Cove ist like a hidden gem in Panama.

I am staying in Boca Chica, but not here. I came here for the restaurant and it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the 4+ months I’ve been in Panama. The lobster wontons to start were incredible. My girlfriend had the pasta with muscles, her mom had the pasta with chicken, and I had the fish tacos. Everyone was more than pleased! The level of service was equally as high and I thank our waitress and the staff for the experience. I will bring my parents here on their next visit and will likely stay at the resort. Thanks!

The main building has reception, the restaurant and parking in front. Small cabins are scattered throughout a lush landscape with stone walks and steps. If you’re older or have trouble with distances or stairs, tell them that when you make your reservation. I was able to park fairly close to my cabin and had very few stairs to negotiate. I’m not certain I could have handled getting to one of the cabins at a distance.

My cabin had a front porch, sliding glass doors, a large bedroom and bathroom, and a huge closet. It was very nice but I was a little disappointed in the decor. Except for the glass doors, there was only one medium-sized window, dim lighting and dark walls. This is a place on a beautiful part of the Panamanian coast but I felt as if I was in a cave. The setting is beautiful, though, with lots of animals and vegetation, and very quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed my visit completely but (except for the location … and it is great) I’m not sure it was worth the price.

Cons (which don’t really bother me): This is a high-end place with high-end prices so I would have expected more of the room decor. I didn’t eat in the restaurant so can’t speak to the food but it was quite pricey.

I had a little trouble getting there. Plan your directions in advance since there is NO service until you get to the hotel. There is a large but faded sign at your last turn (left). You’ll think you’re driving into someone’s pasture. The “road” is gravel and dirt and washed out in places. Go slow! You’ll go down a hill and around to the right. On your left there’s a huge mansion on top of a steep hill. Keep going. The drive will sort of dead end at an open gate. Go through the gate to the small parking area and main building. Go slow so you don’t hit the iguanas.

Pros: The bathroom is beautiful with lots of hot water and clean towels. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. Everything was clean. The staff was wonderful - friendly, happy, helpful and one spoke impeccable English. The views are magnificent. The room had a great air conditioner and dependable WiFi. They have a beautiful stretch of beach and a lovely pool.

To sum: I wasn’t certain what to score Seagull Cove. Based strictly on cost I probably would give it a 4. In all fairness, though, if you’re a beach person you will most likely love it and won’t mind the cost. In that case it deserves a 5.

Beautiful place. 5 individual bungalows with unforgettable views to the islands across the cove. About 150 steps from bar/restaurant area to the beach. Good way to work up a thirst! Melissa the manager and all the staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is memorable. Restaurant menu is small but caters for all tastes, and the food is great.

I cannot thank the team of Jim, Melissa, Juan, and Joanna enough for their hospitality in making our stay so memorable. The grounds are immaculately maintained, the service is first class, and activities offered are spectacular. The sunset cruise, kayaking, and island hopping adventure to Las Islas Secas were unforgettable. I cannot recommend Seagull Cove Resort highly enough.

Spent two days here with my dad and sister. Had a great time.

The cabanas are great. Air conditioned and very nice beds.

The service was terrific.

The manager helped set up a fishing trip for us and they cooked the fish for our dinner when we got back. It was a gem of our travels. I would definitely come back to stay again.

Seagull Cove is awesome! Comfortable, delightful - staff and owners push this place to #1 with their exceptional care. Beautiful views and a fabulously fun tiki bar on Saturdays!

I stayed here with my husband and daughter. The beautiful views, great food and excellent staff made our stay unforgettable. Prices are comparable with the area.

If you want to feel the freedom, the nature, hear a variety of birds, see beautiful sunsets, and enjoy the views full of peace, then, you must visit Seagull Cove Resort.

This place has done it right ! It seems like there is always something funky ! But this place has put together a resort that is really easy to relax into. Built on a hill, everyone gets a view. (And a workout for your legs)
