Excellent guide. Took both the free walking tour around Casco Viejo and also on paid tour to Lake Gaton, seeing monkey Island, hiking through the rainforest and also seeing the Miraflores lock of the Panama canal. Saw loads of different types of monkeys very close, as well as numerous lizards, snakes and interesting birds.
Very informative and personalised tour. Would recommend to anyone.

Martin’s service was brilliant. We had arranged to be picked up from the port on the Atlantic. It was very pleasant to spend the day with him and tour Panama in the comfort of his well air conditioned car . He tailored the day in Panama for us ensuring we would cover everything we wanted to see, including of course the famous Canal de Panama. He gave us insightful comments in the Casco Antiguo and took our family photos! Would definitely recommend! Friendly, reliable, trustworthy. Worth the cost!

He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and spoke fluent English Yes indeed. He catered to our needs. We visited the waterfalls, which was very breathtaking. Later we visit the community where they served us a pool delicious authentic Panama lunch and a dance performance. We truly had the best day and we give all the credit to Martin. We booked the tour to the Embera Village and it was truly amazing. The price is really fair and Martin organized everything perfectly. Our driver Ovidio was very nice and reliable and took us safely to the port from where we took a boat to the village. Highly recommend Martin and his team. Muchas gracias.

Martin is the best tour guide in Panama! He is honest and trust worthy. He took us to Embera Village to see the indian community and the waterfall. It was an amazing experience He took such good care of me and my family. I will recommend him to anyone!

Bit late but was guided by Martin on Christmas for a tour of Monkey Island and Embera Village. He was extremely accommodating of my last minute booking and went out of his way from Panama Ouest to pick me up promptly as scheduled from my hotel at Via Argentina and then back to Casco Viejo to pick up others on the tour. During the drive he provided us with info about the Panama Canal and general history of Panama. During the tour he continued to be informative while also looking out for our safety. He continued to answer questions and provide tips even days after the tour was over. Most of all was fun, would recommend.

My experience with Martin was amazing. He accommodated me and my brother, he took us to multiple historic venues that we would not have found on our own. He explains a lot of the history of the places that we went and if he did not know he would find somebody to explain it to us therefore we ended up learning a lot about Panama including the fact that there are seven indigenous groups. He took multiple pictures of us and even took us to a local restaurant so that we can eat. I enjoyed my tour to the fullest, thank you so much Martin!

We booked a 1/2 day tour of the old city and Panama Canal with Martin at XploreToursPTY. He was super easy to work with and even met us in town to take care of our last minute booking. Spent three fantastic days with Martin from XploretoursPTY. Without his fantastic guidance and knowledge of Panama we would have never discovered the wonder this area has to offer. We explored beyond the cookie cutter tourist sites. Our time with Martin included a wooden canoe ride down the Chagres river to spend time with the Indigenous Embera Community, getting up close to monkeys, riding next to giant boats on the Panama Canal, seeing multiple forts, enjoying wildlife, National parks, strolling through colorful produce markets, observing huge ships passing through the locks, the famous wooden statue of the Black Christ in Iglesia de San Felipe in Portobelo and so much more. Our travels took to not only the “shiny” areas of Panama but to areas where we saw the real hardships of some communities. We learned so much about the history of Panama and came to appreciate the culture and strength of these kind and amazing people.

Our trip had incredible experiences and memories thanks to Martins insight and customization of our tours. His patience, kindness, and friendliness was a joy. We can’t recommend XploretoursPTY enough!

It was great learning about the Embera culture and the tour guide's explanation made it even more enjoyable. Martin was a fabulous guide. We did a walking tour with him our first day in Panama He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He seemed to know everyone in town. After that great walking tour, we booked a tour to the Rainforest and Embera Indigenous village the next day. Martin messaged us the night before to ensure that we knew what to bring. The day trip was fantastic! We went in a canoe on the Chagres River, hiked to a waterfall and swam. Then we visited the Embera village where we learned about the Embera way of life from some wise women who also made us a delicious lunch! Martin shared so much information with us and he also is a friendly, fun guy who made the day so enjoyable. He also took some great photos of the day that he shared with us.We will definitely plan future tours with Martin and recommend him to all our friends.

When my sister Carren and I visited Panama the week beginning August 14, 2022, we had Martin as our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the different sites, courteous, patient and a true professional tourguide. We will not hesitate to recommend him to our friends and relatives when they visit Panama.
