My favorite restaurant in Panama City! Fresh, delicious food. Warm, friendly atmosphere and service. I highly recommend going for happy hour and getting sangria - you will not be disappointed! I look forward to returning.

Really enjoyed dining at Restaurante El Cortijo on our first night in Casco Viejo in Panama City. Server was incredibly friendly. Menu was Spanish/English. Chef created delicious Panamanian meals. Plenty on the menu to appeal to different tastes.

Good service, nice cold beer, fruit juices and the food was excellent, especially the hamburger. We enjoyed our lunch. Gracias.

We randomly stumbled into this small family owned spot and truly felt like we took a magic trip back to España (Spain)! The husband and wife duo are absolutely amazing. Service is unmatched and what you'd expect from owners who are passionate about what they serve their customers. Not only was the food amazing but the WINE was so perfect! By far the BEST Jamon (Ham) Croquetas we have ever tried in our life. Being Cuban and from Miami and having traveled all throughout España (Spain) that should tell you something... thin crisp layer of breading, not greasy at all, not overpowered with salt, and full of yummy flavor! Honestly, those croquetas were the best ever! We ate here two nights in a row before heading out for the night. We wanted to try the fish and their brunch/breakfast but sadly we had to fly back home and didn't have time. But next time we are in the PTY we will be coming here!

Don't pay attention to the hours as they are wrong. Just go because most likely they will be open.

We happened upon this quaint family run Spanish bistro and bar when we were searching for a good value for lunch in Casco Viejo.

The mother and daughter team who run the restaurant are kind and friendly people who serve with heart, obviously proud to have survived the devastating challenges of the pandemic.

Great value for simple Spanish bites and beers. Nice espresso and wines are also available. Stop by if you are in the old town for the afternoon and you won't be disappointed!

Awesome little family run restaurant. Simply fantastic value mains and drink specials. Friendly service, tasty seafood and cosy atmosphere. Loved eating here!

My friend and I stumbled in here after traveling all day from the states. We’d been up since 4am and wanted to split some food. We were absolutely blown away by the food here! It was fantastic, the empanadas and fried plantains were a particular stand out. We also really enjoyed the wait staff who were incredibly kind and accommodating! Our waiter took time to speak to us slowly in Spanish so we could fully comprehend. We’ve been to Spain a few times and enjoyed the papas bravos, an ode to Barcelona which were excellent (but spicy, ask for sauce on the side if you’re sensitive). Highly recommend!

What a great place! The food was amazing (shrimps - very fresh), sangria really good and so was the local beer. The pricing of food was better than many places in Casco Viejo with unique choices on the menu as well. But the highlight was service from the owner and other staff. She was very fun and engaging despite our weak Spanish and made the dining experience enjoyable and memorable. We'll go back again before we leave as it was a total memorable dinner.

Ce restaurant d’apparence sans prétention se détache vraiment des autres du quartier qui racolent les touristes et affichent des cartes hors de prix!
Ici la Sangria est simple mais très bonne.
Le Ceviche de crevettes est exceptionnellement exquis !
Le poisson du jour grillé (asado) était vraiment délicieux.
Le tranche de thon (lomo de atun) parfaite !
J’ai voulu remercier le patron (qui est aussi le cuisinier), il est venu nous saluer. Il nous a confié que tôt le matin, il fait son marché et que tout ce qu’il prépare est du jour.
Bravo à cet artisan d’une cuisine traditionnelle et authentique, sans concession sur la qualité.
Les prix sont étonnement bas, surtout vu l’emplacement exceptionnel dans le Casco Viejo !

Fomos muito bem atendidos pelos proprietários. Comida feita com muito capricho, sabor delicioso, preço super ok (especialmente se comparado aos demais da região) porção adequada. Enfim, valeu a pena demais e voltaremos com certeza!

Muy bien servicio, la cordialidad de sus propietarios es excelente. No consumí comida, pero las cervezas estaban frías y deliciosas 🍻 El lugar es súper acogedor y bonito.

Geweldig eten, goede prijzen en ontzettend behulpzaam en aardig personeel. We moesten onze vlucht halen en ze konden ons eten zeer snel inpakken om mee te nemen. Zeker aan te raden!
