Well located hotel. The rooms are a bit dated but I had good air conditioning and the staff were very helpful.

Great stay! Anyone who rates this $23 a night hotel under 5 stars needs to align their expectations. Big clean simple rooms, welcoming hosts, nice terrace, and good location. Delicious cheap food walking distance. Dinner for two of chicken, rice, and beans and 2 beers, $5. Perfect for the price!

I had a lovely 8 day stay here with my partner. The other reviews are too harsh. Not all of the rooms are painted or renovated, but they're clean and comfortable. If you want the best rooms, ask to stay on the 6th floor. I was satisfied with the 3rd floor but its not as nice. You can't get a better hotel for the price. The hotel is right on the shopping street in the safest part of santa ana (which I felt very comfortable walking around by myself as a gringa) and is a block to the discos and metro. The staff is very kind and helpful. I'm sad to go home!

Very nice for the price! It is in a busy part of the city. If you are comfortable with Latín America travel then it's recommended.

It's not necessarily for the rookies. Everything you need is near and the wifi works great. You can work on the laptop all day and get your beers are the local corner tienda and then sit on the roof patio for free. Perfecto

I stayed at the hotel Stanford my first two nights on a backpacking trip through the country and found it to be a great experience. When I got off my flight, I was warned by my airport cab driver to avoid staying here (due to the neighborhood) but I had already booked the night and decided to chance it. When I arrived (very late at night) the neighborhood at night was quite sketchy, however, personally I found it fascinating to view the night culture from a distance up on the roof of the hotel. When I walked in I was kindly greeted and informed about everything around me in this part of town. I needed to get money and they informed me that the ATM was right next door to the hotel and they even offered to escort me to the ATM. I found the hotel to be very clean, well-equipped, with a solid free Panamanian breakfast, great Wi-Fi, Fantastic AC (unlike many hostels), bilingual staff, a nice roof view, generous laundry service, and a great price overall. The next morning I went to breakfast and was greeted by one of the hotel staff that offered to help me with whatever I needed during my stay not only in the hotel but in Panama. He gave me his Whatsapp number and pointed me toward the fastest and cheapest way to travel the city (the train is a one minute walk from the hotel). I later took the train to get to the bus station where I booked a bus for David late at night around 11pm and hotel Stanford graciously offered to let me stay in the hotel for the day/evening before my trip so I wouldn’t be sitting in the bus station with my bags all day. Overall, the hotel was fantastically equipped and I felt the Stanford hotel staff went above and beyond to assist their guests and I would highly recommend hotel Stanford.

(My trip was two months in total, I am a native english speaker with a fluency in Spanish and I have worked extensively in the hospitality industry. I found the Stanford hotel oddly to be a highlight of my travels and as long as you are aware that you are not booking a hotel in the historic district you'll be fine)

Wonderful place with beautiful views. Staff are very warm and friendly. They speak English and Spanish. In the surround area you have many shops, stores and restaurants.

La verdad muy buena atención, la vista desde la azotea es hermosa, la habitación que nos tocó totalmente limpia y olorosa 10/10 en cuestión de limpieza, también había un pequeño refrigerador que me parece excelente . Lo único malo es que sólo cuentan con 3 canales 😩 por lo demás todo excelente.

Es un Hotel construido de Fama Histórica con prestigio y elegancia basada y remontada a la decoración de la época colonial y que decir de sus maquinitas y sus juego actualizado y salón de apuesta de deporte y que se nos olvida algo el Grandioso Restaurante con platillo nacionales e internacionales e y su parte reservada y la atención con el personal idóneo para brindarle una atención como se la merece al público

Excelente lugar, está remodelado. Amplia habitación, con buena vista. La atención me gustó. El desayuno incluído y su personal muy amable. Quiero regresar. Es excelente para aquellos que quieran conocer y recorrer la 5 de mayo, la peatonal de la central y el Casco Antiguo.
