One of the best bakery offers casual yet creative and innovative cuisine in Panamá. Perfectly cooked hamburgers, deli and Cuban sandwiches can be enjoyed. Specially for Thanksgiving they developed a Turkey with Cranberry sauce on Pumpkin bread. Outstanding desserts and coffees are always fresh. Service aims to please. Highly recommended!

I just loved it. The Thanksgiving sandwich is a BOMB. I would highly encourage you to go a taste it since it's a seasonal.
The goat Mac and cheese was a big size dish and pretty good. A lot of protein in there.

I always look for a nice brunch cafe. And this place put on top of my lists now. I ordered four different cakes and all of them were fantastic with coffee. One thing I have to remind that they don’t open on Monday. I will visit again soon.

This bakery and cafe is a true gem in Panama City. The husband and wife team are graduates of the Culinary Institute of America, and they apply the techniques and experiences they learned there to create the most marvelous versions of local specialties like mamallena bread pudding and tres leches cake. When I've taken friends there, they've actually said, "this is nothing like the bread pudding I grew up eating." At Miranda, they bake and toast their own croutons to be cooked in the yummy custard and then topped with their homemade praline sauce.
But it doesn't stop there. They also make the most wonderful kouign amanns, sourdough breads and croissants -- you'll think you waited in a long line in the Mission in San Francisco to have them.
The dark horse of this place is actually not sweets, nor breads, but their burgers. They are the juiciest, freshest beef patties and topped with high-quality cheese, bacon, eggs, veggies on a seeded Parker House roll made in house. The grilled cheese on sourdough bread with tomato sauce is a terrific alternative as well.
Yes, these are all cheat day items, but if you have fall off the wagon, you might as well do so with the highest quality ingredients in a charming setting.
*I’ve revised this to 5 stars because I realize that as far as bakeries are concerned, there are few that stand up to Miranda’s quality in Panama and beyond.

Really awesome little cafe in the San Francisco neighborhood in Panamá City. We ordered the pastrami sandwich and grilled cheese for lunch. Both sandwiches were delicious as the pastrami and breads are made in house. I liked the pastrami better than the grilled cheese, but I didn't like the rye bread. I'm not a huge rye fan, so I'd probably ask and see if they can sub it out next time.

For dessert we had a passion fruit merengue pie with an iced latte and passion fruit juice. Coffee is awesome, they get it from Boquete. The tart was good, but I wish there was more of a passion fruit taste to it with a little less merengue.

But the duo who owns this place are doing a fantastic job. It's a cool place to get some great lunch and coffee.

Lovely place for breakfast or brunch. You don't even feel like you are in the city because the terrace is "secluded" with trees and plants.
Very delicious food and not very expensive as in other places.
Recommended.

The best hamburgers I've tried in Panama. Their sweets are out of this world. Highly recommended.

A bit overrated, but they serve delicious desserts and bake their own donuts, have a nice patio to drink coffee and just hang out, and make one of the most INCREDIBLE pastrami sandwiches

This place never disappoints! The burgers are amazing and so are the desserts. I have been a regular customer ever since they opened. For this same reason it is usually really crowded for lunch, so the service suffers a bit from it, but the staff is always really nice.

Small, cozy cafe tucked away in San Francisco... Really nice sandwiches and good desserts. My personal favorite are the sweet potato fries... Simply delicious!

Best breakfast I've had in over a year of living in Panama. There were only two options: egg bacon and cheese in a croissant or the same thing in a bagel. I went for the croissant and it was amazing. Buttery, flakey, perfect. Not many places to sit but that adds to the cozy atmosphere. The cappuccino was also great, the froth was as thick as ice cream. Also decided to treat myself to a bacon maple donut afterwards. Wish I discovered this place a long time ago.

This is one of the best places to eat in town, with great hamburgers and desserts. However, it does tend to get crowded. I suggest trying the sweet potato fries and the "mamallena."
