this temple is related with story of Pashupati as per Nepal mahaytmya. The horn of golden pashupati deer which was broken into three pieces. The piece holded by barhma is kept in here and temple was build.

One of the most prestigious religious place for Sanatana Dharmalavi (Hindus) around the world. Religiously there is no other place better than this for salvation of Pitris' as it is the best place to do Saraddha. Also, the management here has also become better. Unlike other religious places the Pandits/Gurus here don't demand certain amount of Dakshina, it's your free-will.

A very historical temple established during the lichavi period in Nepal. I think the committee there should focus on preserving the heritage and also should conduct programs to keep it clean

Beautiful temple, it feels like it is in shadow. Temple is so beautiful, all the statues around temple is in perfect setting. So many images of different god and goddess.

Gokarneshwor Mahadev Temple is mainly lord shiva situated on the bank of Bagmati river Gokarneshwor Municipality. Temple is known as Hindu religion god and goddess .Most of Nepalese were visit to pray for god to their death parents peace and happy in heaven. This is one of the most antique heritage in Kathmandu valley which is dedicated to the god of gods lord Shiva, all temple is decorated with decent architectures with wood carvings. I personally recommend to all Nepal visitors to once must visit this temple.

Additionally, it is stated that people who perform shraddha and give pinda at the Gokarna Pitru Tirth in Uttar Gaya, particularly in the Bhadra Krishna Aunsi, will be able to save a large number of clans, including the Matrikul, Pitrikul, and Bandhu-Sasurali Kuladi.

A hindu temple of lord shiva and is of religious importance situated at the bank of bagmati river helps you get peace and heal spiritually. Although there are construction works going on but it did not take away the charm and the good feeling.

A temple with rich art and history. It felt great to see some infrastructure development and wide roads for easy access to the temple area.

Rich history of this temple but so poorly kept surrounding. A lot has to be done for the preservation of this beautiful temple. The river is polluted though the volume of water is so big.

Chill place to be at. You can visit here for a peaceful environment and religious vibes. It's right beside the bagmati river and you can see a clean flowing bagmati at this place. It's one of the shiva mandir/temple where there's a crowd usually during monday, teej, shivaratri and other days to worship lord shiva.

Far from the noise of city this temple has peace in itself.

There will be more devotees on Father Day i.e. 27/08/2022 (2079/05/11)for this year. People come here to take bath and pray for their father.
