The temple is visited by the people all over Nepal and mostly by the Hindus of Palpa and nearby districts. Hindu people worship at the temple mainly in Mahaastami of Dashain. Many pilgrims visit the temple in the month of (November -December). The main days for worship at this temple are Tuesdays and Saturdays. During the festivals, animal sacrifices (buffalo, goat, ram and chicken) are performed in the temple. Pancha Bali is also performed, which involves the sacrifice of five kinds of animals namely buffalo, goat, sheep, hen and duck.

The main prasad of this temple is Rot ( रोट), which is a bread of rice flour mixed with various spices and fried in clarified butter.Firstly, the Rot is offered to Bhairab and then shared among the devotees.

A famous Hindu temple near Palpa bazaar dedicated to god Bhairab. The temple is located about nine kilometers north west from Palpa bazaar; built by Sixteen century king of the region Mani Mukunda Sen. World largest golden Triishul (Trident), a symbol of lord Shiva was in front of the main temple. Beautiful Idol of lord Bhairab head was made of Silver with beautiful craftsmanship. One had to climb stone steps from road below to reach the temple at top of hill. There was a motorable narrow road which also led to the temple. A lot of vendors with fire wood stoves cooking the iconic Rot as Prashad offered to Bhairab were on the way of the steps leading to the temple. Rot is a kind of pan baked bread made of rice flour, spices & ghee. A must try Prashad of the temple. Surrounding views from the temple & hill top was wonderful.
