Dedicated to Shivaji’s first wife Satya Devi. When she died Shiva was was so heart broken that he carried her dead body on his shoulders which started to decay & her tooth fell on this beautiful hill. Special viewing is given by the holy priest but not always. It is considered to be another form of Durga so many goats are sacrificed on Bada Dasain.

A very old devi temple . It has its own importance .This place is named as Dantakali because Satidevi's teeth fell in this place.
You can go with an auto or van or by walking. It will take around 10 minutes from Bhanu Chowk if you go with a vehicle or take around 30-40 minutes if you go by foot. You can choose to use stairs rather than going through the road.

Dnat Kali is a Sati Temple in Dharan Nepal. It is believed that Teeth of Sati was fallen here. Although , this places is claimed as Sati Peeth, but not included in 52 Sati/shakti Peeth.

Dharan is located around 90 KM away from Kakarvita (Indo Nepal Border at Naxal Bari, India).

Foreigners (Indians too) have to pay Rs. 300 INR (Rs. 450 NC) per day. Day implies upto 10 pm, the time gate is closed.

Must to visit places are Pindeswar Siva Temple (1 km), Vedetar hill station (approx 20 km) or Dhankuta (another 30km from vedetar)

Dantakali Temple is a Hindu template situated in a mountainous terrain of Bijayapur in Dharan, Nepal. Dantakali is famous among the Hindus as the place where the sacred teeth of the goddess Satidevi lie.

Hindus religious place worshipped as 'shaktipith' of the divine goddess Shatyawati (Wife of God Shiva). Supposedly the ancient remains of jaws are preserved in the temple for prayers. The ancient holy shrine was renovated several times for ages.

A Hindu religious place where Hindu goddess Mahakali is worshipped. It is believed that this temple has a tooth of Mahakali inside the temple. There are a lot of restrictions inside the temple. You can not take pictures inside the temple. Saturday and Tuesday are said to be the best time to visit the temple.

First time visited Nepal There is a lot of faith attached to Nepal, it was very nice to come to the temple.

The roads have been well managed and maintained since my last visit. A great place to learn about Hindu Mythologies.

The atmosphere around the temple is really wonderful. Tourists make the place even better. The area of temple is relatively smaller but carries a big cultural importance.
