Hotel New Yak

Very clean rooms with attached bathroom. The view from the terrace is amazing and the staff was very friendly! Had our best nights of sleep at hotel New Yak during our Annapurna Circuit trek (stayed for 2 nights). Perfect location for a daytrip to ice lake.

This is a family run lodge just 2kms before Menang. Perfect location if you are doing the Ice Lake to acclimatise to the altitude. Also very close to the lovely walk up Milarepa cave and monastery. I loved the food Ravi cooks. I read about his carrot cake being amazing and it certainly didn’t disappoint! We ended up messaging Ravi on WhatsApp to ask him to make us a whole cake which we took half on our treks. Here are some pics of the famous carrot cake on the way up from Thorong Phedi to High camp and then at the Thorong La pass.
Ravi’s wife Tsering Dolma was so warm and welcoming. We went back to Braka after Tilicho Lake just for food and lovely family.

Best place to stay if going to Icelake and Milarepas cave. Rooms are nice and soundproof, hot shower, really fast wifi, staff is nice. Hotel manager Karma is just amazing guy. Would prefer myself more local food/dishes, but veggie burger in between of trek was nice to experience. Definitely recommend 🙏

After a long hiking day I was happy to stay at New Yak for 2 nights.
Friendly staff, very confortable bed, and nice food!
The Yak cheese toasty is very comforting after hiking.

We spent two days here sheltering from the snow and I don’t think we could have found a better place for it. The rooms are comfortable, with cosy blankets, the staff are friendly and have good English, and the food is some of the best we’ve had on the circuit - the veggie burger and apple pancakes were especially good

This hotel owner is amazing. Very polite & friendly. And always happy to help. He packed breakfast for us in the middle of the night when we told him that we'll leave very early for the ice lake trek.
And the view is amazing from here. The view of the Marshiangdi river & Annapurna Massif is breathtaking.

Very, very friendly host. Good food. The toilet in the room, shower shared. Comfortable beds. Close to the entrance to Ice Lake trek. One disanventage was poor signal of wi-fi in the room; good signal was only in the dinning room. Anyway, I can trully recommend this place.

Great place! Good WiFi, warm shower, lovely staff and good food! The best oat porridge with apple I had so far in Nepal.

Stayed here for a few days to acclimatise. A good place to walk up to the cave and the ice lake from. They have a great bakery here. The rooms were nice and they were clean too. The food we had was really good, they also do good coffee and cake. The showers are gas and are separate from the rooms. Nice place to spend a few nights.

Best tea house we stayed during the Annapurna track. Beautiful clean and new rooms, private toilet and (cold) shower. Hot showers are separate but available and actually hot. The food is also good, I would recommend their vegetarian burger :-).

Lastly, we wanted to hike to the ice lake. Hotel Newyak is at the beginning of the trail. Also the owner let us keep our stuff we didn’t need on the hike in our room. All in all, this hotel is a must stay in Braga.

awesome!! awesome!!!!! food amazing! rooms were clean! warm showers! nice friendly stuff! They explained us so much about altitude and make us feel so welcome! One of the best places we stayed during our Anapurna circuit! Apple pie and apple pancakes were fantastic!

An absolute jam in the middle of the Annapurna Circuit track.
Up until that point in the track, this was, without a doubt, the place with the best shower and food on the track. Extremely clean and cozy. The dining hall is all wooden and is a great place to rest and read. (and if you're not lazy - to reflect on the track so far and to write it down in a diary (: )
My recommendation is to stop here for a day to rest and to accommodate to the height. Most people decide to do the accommodation stop in Manang, but actually this place is much less crowded and much more cozy than any of the places in Manang. Manang is just extremely crowded and large - my advice is to just skip it. (it's just 2km away, so you'll pass it by in the day you'll continue the track)

Great place. Food is delicious, owners and family are great, friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are nice but in room ones don''t come with hot water which isn't a big deal. Definitely stay here.

Good place to stay if you are interested in doing ice lake. The food is good and the rooms will suffice for a good rest.

Best accommodation in Braka with big rooms perfect for hotboxing. The food is also great specially the mushroom soup and the massala-tea.

Whenever I visit Manang I stay in this place. Because of the Old Gompa, friendly people @ hotel and another benefit is to go to Ice lake and Milarepa cave is near from here than from Manang.
