Gorkha Gaun Resort

It's about a couple a month ago. It was really really a memorable experienced to me to went there. Giving personal review "it feels like home". Everything was soooo goood❤❤

We had a couple of days to spare post our visit to Pokhara and a friend suggested that we go to the "heart of political Nepal" - Gorkha. This is an eco friendly resort off the beaten track. Typical village surroundings. What looked like a basic facility turned out to be a lovely well taken care of property with most mod cons. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Beds were laaarge! Views were super although we had come during the dry season and the haze did not help!. Dining was in a separate area and we had a selection of Nepali cuisine. The bar was well stocked with a variety of local and imported spirits. We stuck to the local whisky and rum! Warm, humble and efficient staff took care of us. A very homely feel. The property has a local expert guide who accompanied us to Gorkha town and the surrounding palace/temples for a day trip and he was very knowledgeable, giving us a run down of the region's history and development.

It was worthwhile staying at Gorkha Gaun Resort this 8-9 October 2019. The ambience was perfect and the hosts were as wonderful. Views were spellbinding from cottages. Great eco-tourism example. Food from farm-grown vegetables was fantastic. Perfect place to keep ones away from honks and hauls !!

Went on a full moon night, and the views surrounding the resort were mesmerizing.

Don’t forget to enjoy a candlelit dinner under the stars with Gorkha cityscape as your background, and also take a small hike down to Ludi Khola and around.

Food could be better. The staff were kind & polite but a little over-enthusiastically hospitable for my liking.

Would go again!

Great property surrounded by forest, great view of Gorkha Bazar and the mountains beyond. Room cottages are beautifully made with local material.

Resort off the beatan path that is beautiful and very homely. It is like living with the local humble Gorkhas . You get a bird's eye view of a rural hilly activities with fresh air, no noise except for the musical birds chirping and the insects at night. excellent and genuine service by every staff member. It is just a place to unwind and do the things you could not in the city.

Located on the top of the hill far away from Gorkha Bazaar. A perfect place for sight seeing. You can have sunrise and sunset view over the Manaslu Himalayan ranges. The view is breath taking.

I stayed 3 nights with my family, we thoroughly enjoyed the place . Specially the warm Hospitality of the team. Food was simple and good. Great views. Comfortable Room. A great place to get away from the hustle-bustle and enjoy some Nepali rural living also explore the rich Gorkha History.

On top of a hill with a wonderful view. They rooms are just wonderful, comfortable and spacious. All modern basic needs is provided. The rooms are made is a old way by clay and stone.

Perfect place for getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Nepali touch stone houses with simple yet interesting interior.
I highly recommend this place.
