It was really a great experience there. The images of room above are of house no. 3 Of rainaskot Homestay. People were really friendly and hospitable. Food was also good and tasty. For a night the price as of 2024-03-06 was 950 per person with a night food (Veg) and a night stay and morning breakfast and for the morning meal extra 250 is the charge.

Rainas Homestay is a community led initiative. It gives an amazing view of the Himalayan range on a clear day. An amazing sunset and a reason to wake up early to get the morning ray of sunlight on the white snow of the himalayas.

The community has good local food and are very hospitable. The houses are numbered and each one get their turn as the guest comes.

There are two options to get there
.. Public bus or four wheel drive. There are bus that goes on a scheduled time.. Do check with the locals on the time. If you have a four wheel drive you don't have to walk... Almost none... However if you took the bus as I did... It's a 15 to 30 mins walk as per the person's fitness.

However the experience is worth it..
