Loved the ride while going here... Although half of it is off-road, the other half was such good great ride. I'll recommend going on a bike because of the road... Scooters can manage to go their but the off-road might be hard to go through. The place's not much, it's kinda just a lake, reminds of pokhara actually but the peaceful in my opinion.

One of the best destinations near Kathmandu via chitlang agriculture resort

It is the largest man-made lake (in Nepal), for Kulekhani Hydropower project, also known as Indra Sarobar. Kulekhani is famous for fishing, hiking, trekking and boating. Boating there will make you feel like you are floating upon the shiny diamond flame. The peaceful pond, boating in here will surely make you fall in love with the nature.Markhu, on the way to Kulekhani is one of the popular areas to visit and sightseeing. Markhu is a small village at the top of Kulekhani reservoir and is a beautiful and peaceful place to be. A suspension bridge right above the kulekhani reservoir adds beauty and attractions to the people. You can walk through the bridge, take photos and have fun.

A must visit place for all people living in Kathmandu. Just a two hours drive, but you need a car with a four wheel drive, as the road is rough and dusty. Please do not venture in rainy season as lots of place with dangerous landslide areas. Best to go in October, November, December & January.
The 7 km long artificial lake of Kulekhani hydel project is named Indrasarowar Lake which is pristine and beautiful. Very less people so not as crowded as Pokhara.

Markhu and Chitlang is a loop travelling site where we can travel for a day hike, mountain bike ride, small gathering, picnic, and place to be with your friends and families. This route is one of the nearest place from the kathmandu to hangout with our friends and families and also if we are looking for the night out with some barbecue and musical jam up and fire camp then this site can be a great alternative for your kind of interest.

Great place for 1 day visit , 1 night out and camping. And for mohini fall/jharna(mahabhir jharna which was written on the bord) you can go there by your bike instead of paying 600 NRS up and down for boat

Kulekhani dam is best for short trip with family and friends and with your loved ones . Overall it's about nature . You can stay at resorts and homestay if you are going for a stay trips other wise you can comfortably go and come within the day . The distance from Kathmandu to kulekhani is around 50km approx . Road is Little rough but it will be worth every turn .
