De Pannekoekenbakker - Oostkapelle

We heard that this place is supposed to be good and we were still surprised by how delicious the pancakes were. We had a combination of half sweet and half salty pancake and a banana sundae. The staff was very friendly and fast. We had such a nice lunch here and we can't await to return.

Great selection of pancakes. You can get regular and sweet pancakes as well as a great selection with bacon, cheese or even special pancakes (Mexican style, Indonesian style etc.).
The service is always nice and fast.
The outdoor seating has a sunroof so you wont get wet. The only "downside" is, it is right on the street. But it didn't bother me too much.

We had a great meal for two the best pancakes I've had in ages and such a fantastic choice too! Very good service and the price is right!!

Great place for families! There's a play area upstairs for kids and they also receive tokens to 'buy' a toy from the shop area. We all enjoyed our pancakes and the service was prompt and friendly. The menu is available in a range of languages.

Easy access with lots of outdoor seating, very popular and busy, but service was fairly quick and staff were friendly and efficient. Not cheap, but choice of pancakes was wide enough to suit any tastes. Highly recommended

Cool place, lots of choice, friendly staff, clever and cool system for kids to get some toys in their menu which I'd never seen before, and the food was prepared very quickly. I'd recommend going here :)

Yes, you could argue that a pancake is a pancake is a pancake. And yes, you could complain about the perceived lack of fantasy and choice, offering "just" pancakes.

You'd be wrong.

Because you wouldn't have thought just how many variants you can create from the basic concept. And here's all of them. And when we say 'all', we mean it. Choose from several hundred offerings of ingredients and toppings, one tastier than the other.

Combine this with attentive and friendly, multi-lingual staff, fast servings, a beautiful "submarine" interior decoration plus a small cinema and other playgrounds for smaller children, and you have 'de Pannekoekenbakker'.

Considering the acceptable pricing, this is the place to be in Oostkapelle, especially when you're into pancakes, when you have small children, or both.

If staying in Netherlands nobody wants to miss eating Pannekoeken. So do we and went in that lovely restaurant in Middelburg.
I never saw before such a variety of different Pannekoeken. Sweet and salty, or you want a half and half Pannekoeken. Did anybody see before TexMex-Pannekoeken? I will try it next time. I was not brave enough, but it looked very good on the neighbor table.
What I really appreciated was that apples or the jam in the Pannekoeken were really baked in and not just put on top.
Really tasty.
And I appreciated that all 4 different Pannekoeken for us came the same time.

100% to recommend. Probably crowded during summer or vacation time. So pleae order a table in advance if you don't want to miss it.
