It was an great experience.
The guys that worked there was the best, they had alot of information and knowledge of the machines.
We where lucky, they had most of the machines running.
I absolutely recommend this museum 👍👍

We went in the evening at the special "lichtjesavond" (lights night) and the museum looked absolutely magical. They had a show with a fire breather. We loved it.

.A truly magnificent museum ran by knowledgeable technicians. All volunteers with great stories. Make sure to go on a 'steam day' to see the machines working. Truly awesome!

Excellent working steam museum housed in old steam pumping house.

Many fascinating exhibits, most actually in steam!

Friendly and knowledgeable volunteer guides.

Highly recommended if you are into steam, industrial history or just heavy machinery in general.

Check with them what days the machines are in steam. Other days still worth a visit as many engines are run on compressed air.

A large collection of steam engines, many working during popular times. There are model engines that you can fire up if you pay 1E for a fuel block. Better for older children, over 8.

A great collection of interesting Steam machinery, we went on an "in steam" day and it was great to see everything working. The kids loved the blacksmith demonstration too. Very friendly and good English spoken by everyone...well recommended.

There are a lot of things to see here. The entrance is opposite to the original smithy that belonged to the yard and they heat up the fire for visitors even though nothing is made here anymore.

The people here are very helpful and are keen to tell you about the history of steam engines and how they work in detail.

Very informative and fun to visit.

Great and varied collection of working steam engines. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and always happy to answer questions and perform demonstrations. Visit on one of the "superstoomdagen" if you can when they'll have the outside equipment working as well, including a steam crane and a dredging ship.

Nice museum with working steam machines. Located in a retired polder pumping station. Good explanations, nice people to explain the subtleties of steam power. Lots of old steam equipment outside as well. The kids really liked the miniature steam systems.

Small museum outside Harrlem. It was worth the effort to get there by bus. We really enjoyed the tour.
