APARTMENTS WATERLAND

Had a short but sweet fabulous stay at the apartments. They were spotless and was everything we needed for 2 nights. I can only imagine how nice this place is during the summer and better weather. When I'm back in the area I would not hesitate to book here again as it fit all of our needs.

We had a great stay during our first trip to Amsterdam. Staying in Monnickendam allowed us to explore the countryside which was a highlight for us! The apartment is clean, spacious, and we felt very comfortable. Just keep in mind that the walk to the bus stop is about 15min and tricky with luggage, especially going up 2 flights of stairs. The town is pretty and scenic so we didn’t mind it the rest of the time we were there.

We had a perfect stay, the room was perfectly clean and served with coffee and tea. It’s only 15 minutes to go to amsterdam by bus and the bus stop is only a 5 minute walk. Everything was perfect, thank you Joke en Peter !!

Nice and relaxing location especially if you are travelling by car. Amsterdam city center is about 30 minutes away by public transport. The room we rent has everything necessary. Peter was verry kind and helpfull.

If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would leave 1000...
i have been travelling around the world and stayed in different accommodations, but this one has my heart ♥ I actually left today with a heavy heart, this place felt like home.

1: the owners are extremely nice & friendly, and easy to communicate with. They answered all our calls so quickly and helped us with everything, they're an amazing host!

2: the appartement 🥹♥ is so so so beautiful and extremely cosy! The place you could stay in and not want to leave. All facilities are available in the house, it's so clean and neat and simple.
The view is anooother story! Breathtaking in the morning, a beautiful sunrise to catch from the wide windows (that we did not miss during our 2 nights sleep).

3: location is perfect! Very quit which is great to relax and have a good night of sleep, there is surprisingly so much to discover in this little town. The cute small little houses and streets, the waterfront... the friendly people walking around with their cute dogs... everything about this place is just heart warming ♥.
Plus: it's so easy to park, free parking just in front of the door. And easy to walk to the bus stop and get to Amsterdam in no time. We took our 1 year old son in a stroller and took the bus (around 15min walks that feels like 5min while walking and admiring the beauty of the town). And then 5 stops later you're in the heart of Amsterdam centrum!

5 min walk you'll find a little supermarket that has everything that we could possibly need. Or 10 min (or less) by car for a bigger supermarket. Google maps is always our friend in terms of finding what near us and what time it closes...

To end this long review, honestly no words can describe how perfectly perfect was this stay! Thank you so much to the owners for this beautiful place and for accepting us as your guests. We'll hopefully come back soon.

We stayed in one of the 2nd floor apartments and it was beautiful. Excellent amenities (private bathroom, small kitchen, lounge room, and a comfortable bed. The apartment is a good sized space for 2 people that you could relax and spend time in.
Joke and her husband were incredibly lovely hosts. Stopping to have a chat when we saw them and giving us lots of recommendations. We would definitely stay again!

Lovely apartment, very clean and meets all requirements for a holiday let. I particularly enjoyed sleeping in a ‘wooden tent’. My only negative would be the stairs to get to the top are narrow and if this is an issue ask for a lower apartment.

The apartment felt like home. Very comfortable and complete. We enjoyed the vaulted roof over the bedroom with a door to nowhere near the ceiling. This apartment is on the second floor, which is up the narrow staircase. The other rooms are up one more level. We would very happily stay there again and will be recommending it to others. Monnickendam is an enjoyable town to walk around, with plenty of restaurants and an easy 30 minute bus ride to Amsterdam.

My stay in Monnickdam was amazing, host was friendly and kind, he even did a massive load of washing for us free of charge. Also good location, short bus trip into Amsterdam.

Monnickendam is so much better in reality! A beautiful peaceful haven from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, which is only a 15 minute bus ride away. Joke was the perfect host, and made sure we had plenty of coffee for our stay, the apartment was light, clean and perfect for the two of us. Highly recommend the breakfast at de Koperen Vis, overlooking the harbour. We also bought smoked mackerel from the local fishmonger, Visrokerij Gebroeders De Boer - delicious! Hiring bikes is a must to explore more of the area, cycling to Volendam and taking the ferry to Marken was a great day out. I would highly recommend Joke and Peter's wonderful Waterland Apartments and would love to return one day!

What a fabulous nine day stay we had at Apartments Waterland. We shared two rooms amongst three adults and two young children.
The purpose of our stay in Monnickendam was a wedding, and the host had arranged flowers and even a bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding.
The two rooms were very clean, spacious and had everything to make our stay a wonderful memory of our time in Monnickendam.

Das Appartement ist sehr sauber gewesen und hat einen schönen Ausblick auf den kleinen Hafen. Die Lage ist super, ruhig, als auch nahe Amsterdam. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich.

Ich war mit meiner Freundin im Januar in dem Waterland Apartment und bin wirklich rundum begeistert.
Das Apartment liegt in einem hübschen kleinen Vorort von Amsterdam, wo man mit dem ÖPNV gut und schnell in die Innenstadt fahren kann.
Die Unterkunft in Moonickendam war hübsch eingerichtet und war für unseren kurzen Aufenthalt mehr als ausreichend gewesen.
Beim Check-In sind wir von Joke freundlich empfangen worden und der Check-Out lief genauso unproblematisch.
Insgesamt können wir das Apartment nur herzlichst weiterempfehlen.

Wij hebben afgelopen weekend een heel fijn verblijf gehad in het appartement met uitzicht op de haven (2e verdieping). Alles zag er keurig verzorgd uit en alles was aanwezig. Het appartement ligt erg leuk aan het water en in het centrum. Tevens een centrale ligging t.o.v. Volendam, Edam enz. en natuurlijk Amsterdam!

Peter en Joke, hartelijk dat wij in uw appartement mochten verblijven. Wij hebben genoten.

Dit appartement in Monnickendam was prima voor ons. Goed gesitueerd, schoon, en van alles voorzien. Wij hebben er een leuke tijd doorgebracht.
