The town is small and not many options but the one that was open was cute, friendly, and tasty. Our server was super sweet and she took good care of us. I think everyone enjoyed their food, from soups, to fondue, to cod. I was thinking the fried fish was going to be like fish and chips but it was pan fried and came with veggies, mashed potatoes, as well as fries.

Very enjoyable and nice escape from the city.

Cosy and delicious as always: huge choice of pancakes (very well made!, which isn't a standard), overall good choice on the menu, drinks as well; pleasant atmosphere, friendly service, well-balanced level of 'countryside' interior.
One-star deduction as the 'homemade apple pie' didn't taste like homemade, and was too chilly at serving.

Biked here from Amsterdam and liked the food and atmosphere so much that we came back a second time in the evening when coming back by bike. Sweet and savoury crepes (pancakes), all delicious, great prices and huge portions (About 11€ for a specialty pancake and everything else is less).

We make a point to stay in Broek so we can eat at De Witte Swaen. The atmosphere is cozy. The wait staff speak enough English so we can understand what to order. The pancakes are to die for. We have come 4 times from the United States just to eat these great pancakes!

Very traditional and cozy restaurant, they serve mostly pancakes and omelettes (both can be vegetarian options). I took a mushroom omelette which was accompanied by bread and cream cheese with herbs (really delicious). The bill was surprisingly low for the standards here...definitely worth a visit if you are coming back to Amsterdam from your day trip our to Waterland

Best pannenkoeken in Amsterdam area and picturesque ambient! Good prices also. Only 7 minutes bus from Amsterdam Station Noord. Top!

Awesome pancakes, tasty coffee. Greatly sized portions for an affordable price. Beautiful waitresses.

Excellent food and very amiable staff. The restaurant is in an old, well maintained typical Dutch house. Pancakes are their speciality but we enjoyed also the coffee. Definitely worth a stop of you are cu cycling by.

The food is exceptional, soup is superb so tasty and full of flavor. Duck, salmon, lamb, are all great dishes. Dessert are a must, all yummy and very special, we had the desert of the month,green tea sorbet beautiful, kiss biscult, vanilla macaroons, a biscult crumble and 3 meringue to finish the plate all presentation 100%.

Charming place. Didn't have vegan options in the menu but they came up with a delicious vegan apple and raisins pancake. I am sure one with veggies would be also delicious. Very recommended.

Friendly waiters and a lot of various pancakes- we loved it.
