MORE Museum

Absolutely loved it. Such incredible artwork. The permanent exhibitions are really good & highly worth seeing. The temporary ones are a bit hit or miss according to my family who go regularly, I went on a miss day but it was still really fun.

Went with friends and their few months-old baby. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the museum's quiet calm and elegant colourscape meshed so well with the kid. The restaurant was gracious about allowing the baby to cry a little at first, and when she fell asleep we continued the exploration.

You may wonder why that is relevant, but to my friends, this proved they can in fact go out with the baby. That is a big deal, and MORE made that realisation possible.

The modern art in the museum is carefully curated and excellently presented, with clear, non-intrusive information provided in well lit texts. The appreciation of the displayed art itself is - as ever - subject to personal preference, but to this reviewer, presentation and background information made the exhibits work very well.

The museum is located in the picturesque town of Gorssel, nearby Deventer, and is an excellent morning or afternoon trip if you are staying in the area. The town has cute amenities, and I can in good conscience definitely recommend a visit.

Museum MORE is a Dutch museum in Gorssel, Netherlands. The display of the paintings and exhibits it is totally worth it, even though the location of the museum is not very convenient and takes some time to travel. The paintings guide you through a diversity of emotions and the realism of the exhibits is unbelievable. Museumkaart is valid for a discount on the entrance ticket. I enjoyed my visit here and do recommend to add the museum on to visit list in Netherlands.

Very interesting and diverse collection. The Bob Ross exhibit was the main reason for our visit but the other parts of the collection were still great.

I have been in the museum today with my 7 y/o son, and we really enjoyed.
The collections are beautiful, I mostly liked Anja Janssen, her paintings are amazing technically and also by their idea.
The museum building is beautiful and the staff is nice.
It is easy to arrive and there is a coffee shop of the museum and also one or two outside the museum, and there is a parking next to the museum.
Highly recommended.

Lovely museum. Great hidden gem in a cute town.

The staff was very friendly and happy to answer any/all questions. Rooms were clean and the route through the museum was easy to follow.
All in all I would recommend going here if you're looking to see some great works of art!

The neo realistic collection was wonderful, but as a die hard Bob Ross fan, it was absolutely fantastic to see his paintings in real life.
