De Alde Feanen National Park

A lovely place for walking, cycling, boating and being on the lakes! The village of Earnewald has large marina and hosts lots of events on in the summer and plenty of restaurants to choose for food. The village has great B&Bm hotel and nearby campsites including one 5 star itwiid

Very interesting story and again majestic nature!

One of the nicest places near Leeuwarden. You can reach it by bike in around 1.5h. It is the closest National Park. You can visit it on foot, but better to rent a boat or see it on a bike. Lots of birds, lakes, trees. Everything is green and place is not overcrowded.

Unique and typical Dutch landscape, where meadows are bordered by alder trees.
In the midst of vast areas of meadows (farm land), you'll find various types of streams and waters.

Nice place to bike, but we didnt find any touristic paths for walking, only for biking

Beautiful nature and a Lot going on with boats and Bikes, also possible to Walk with Baby stroller. Dogs are allowed. Parking for free, foodtruck and Restaurants also there. Maps for walks can be Downloaded.

Nice and calm place (in March, at least). Saw a lot of birds and even a deer.

Very peacful nice scenery and places to stop great for wild camping. Take plenty of inse t repellent.

An excellent place to visit. Everything extremely well kept. Something of which the country can be extremely proud.

Beautiful natural area just over the dike which is a bicycle path.

Well equipped cabin, lovely location, enjoyed pool and boat hire. Good croissants in the shop.

Visited three times. Nice and quiet place. Be careful on the depth of lakes and draught of your boat.
You can moor your boat at the visitor center in Earnewald, if marina and city mooring on the right side is full, and use the ferry to get to the city centre.

Very nice nature area. I recommend hiring a sailing boat to explore the area from the water. In case of the absence of wind the area has a lot of possibilities for walking and biking.

Stunning national park. The woods feel surreal. No undergrowth,just moss, so you can actually see as far as the horizon goes. No Elk.
