De Heilige Willibrorduskerk si een kerk van de Heilig Hartparochie en staat in Esch. De parochie kent 4 kerkgebouwen de Sint-Petrusbasiliek In Boxtel, de oudste, de Sint-Willibrorduskerk in Esch, de Sint-Theresiakerk in Lennisheuvel en de Sint-Jans Onthoofdingkerk in Liempde. De Sint-Willibrorduskerk is in 1927 ingewijd. De Sint-Willibrorduskerk in Esch is een bijzonder gebouw. Het oudste gedeelte is de toren, die al meer dan 500 jaar oud is. Hij is tussen 1450 en 1500 gebouwd.
Het kerkgebouw dat er nu tegenaan staat, is al het derde godshuis op die plek. De huidige Willibrorduskerk is maar net 80 jaar oud. Hij is gebouwd en ingewijd in 1927 ter vervanging van een negentiende-eeuwse kerk, die volgens de toenmalige pastoor, Henricus van Duren, aan bouwvalligheid leed. Deze prachtige Essche kerk ligt aan de Dorpsstraat van Esch.

Boxtel is a municipality and a town in the southern Netherlands. The name derives from Buchestelle and is presumably a combination of 'stelle' and buck. This is the origin of the Van Boxtel family, which has numerous descendants in North Brabant. The town was the site of the Battle of Boxtel fought in September 1794 during the Flanders campaign. It is often principally remembered as the first battle of the future Duke of Wellington. source
