What a treat to find this place. I cleaned out their Hijiki and other delicious food. And finding Pocari was such a nice surprise. It was nice to get a little taste of Japan.

Best Japanese market / store around Amsterdam. You can find top quality stuff, great to level up your Japanese cooking game. Very happy to have this in the city.

Good Japanese (and Korean) store in the neighborhood. Some of the stuffs are a little bit pricier than in other places. But they sometimes offer great discounted products too!

A local shop in a quiet, suburban neighborhood for all things Japanese food. It has friendly, serviceable staff and a selection of authentic Japanese cuisines.

If you're looking for somewhere local to pick up some Japanese food (even for a quick bite), Atariya is a good place to go!

Recently discovered this grocery store. It feels like being in Japan. One can also find freshly prepared boxes containing various Japanese dishes, very tasty. Price wise is average, not particularly expensive if one takes into account that the items are imported from Japan.

They have a loyalty card system in place.

This is one of the few shops in Amsterdam where you kind find a wide range of Japanese products. It can get a bit expensive, but that's only because you want to buy a lot of different things (and importing things from Japan is pricey)! They have nice bentos and onigiri too. The staff is also very friendly. I always go here when I want to stock up on Japanese products.

Atariya is not only selling a lot of different imported japanese food products, but they have a good selection of packed bento boxes, onigiris, and different mochis. Great place to stop by on the weekend and pick up some food for a picnic in one of the parks in the area.

You can get any ingredients you need from Japan, except for curry powder by S&B. Strong Zero and other alcohol are almost triple the price in Japan...

Very local Japanese small shop. A lot of products to choose from, even though it' s a smaller shop. Excellent service and advice from the staff and excellent mochi (sticky rice ball) and onigiri (rice triangle). Haven't tried the bento boxes, but it looks delicious. Best before dates are something to look at, because some of the products are almost expired. Even so, this is definitely one my favorite Japanese shops in NL.

I have always wondered how a Japanese bento (it's how they call their lunch boxes) would taste from a convenience store. It's really a real food that they put in the box. It doesn't taste like any other fast food companies that put their food in boxes. Atariya has shown me the uniqueness of Japanese food and their convenience stores.

Expensive but one of the rare shops in town with a great selection of Japanese products.

This is my favorite Japanese supermarket to go to in amsterdam. They have an amazing assortment of food and non food from Japan and good prices. I go there mainly to buy frozen natto which is hard to find. They have many different brands to choose from. They sell fresh Japanese food too like bento, kroket, onigiri etc. The staff are super friendly and speak Japanese, English and Dutch. Its located quite close to the tram station.

One of the best Japanese food stores in the NL. They offer a variety of authentic Japanese snacks, condiments, instant noodles, etc. Definitely a place to visit and buy good snack/food

One of the few places in Amsterdam where you can get Japanese groceries.

What I like, almost every day around noon the stock self made onigiri and bento lunches for a fair price. For it size a decent selection of Japanese rice wine, frozen and normal ingredients.

What I don't like, it can be a bit expensive. But that's to be expected with imported food.

Staff is friendly and bilingual in most cases. (japanese - english or english - dutch)

Great Japanese supermarket. Small but full of great stuff. They also import Japanese bread from Germany. They sell dry, freezer and refrigerated goods.

Suuuuper friendly and funny Cashier. Nice little store and you can have snacks and bento 🍱 for lunch. Love it. I don't mind the price tags.
THEY HAVE RASPBERRY KitKat! OMFG! 🤪

Asked for a bag, but, to save plastic, I was offered a carton. I gratefully accepted.
