This was amazing! The open areas for the animals is just incredible. The playground for the children is awesome. The demonstrations and feeding of the animals was well done, and brought the animals closer to us. The idea that many of the animals will be rehabilitated grabbed my attention - what a great initiative. The bird show was so well carried Out, and the fact that the birds are not forced to take part was an added bonus for me. Walking through the wooded areas on well kept paths was a pleasure. Well done!

Relaxing zoo. Highlights include the monkey Island and the bird show. Large parking area and the fact that most signs are also in English is a plus.

Brilliant places for kids. Big enough to take your time but not so big you'll all get tired of walking. A large range of birds including many eagles and vultures. Monkey Island where you walk amongst them. Up close and personal with lots of animals. Good sized enclosures with subtle viewing holes for the big cats.

Our favorite zoo in the Netherlands. Not too big to make you tired, happy healthy animals. This zoo also provide contact with some animals which is great not only for kids.
Many rescued animals are enjoying there life in the zoo now. Some will return to the wild ❤

I have ALOT to say about this place.

This place is really great!! I remember coming here a few years ago and since i came back to it they have really outdone themselves and upgraded A LOT! I feel very proud.

This place is not just a zoo. People are often agains't zoo's because "animals belong in the wild" but let me tell you something about this zoo.

This zoo has the intention to help animals in need. They created a lion centre to nurse them back to health. Lions they rescued from places like peoples backyards, circus', and warzones. aside from that, (theres a new thing) and now they also nurse dolphins back to health. They created a part up in the lion centre to show people the harsh truth about what happens to animals in this world to try and make a point. Which by the way, turned out extremely pretty as well. And every enclosure i've seen is absolutely beautiful and looks like a very safe space for all these lovely animals. The owners of this zoo seem like very good people for starting something like this. And i can't help but to feel proud because this zoo is my childhood.

They added a lot of new things to it including a huge restaurant! Theres 2 now actually. First there was only one that was up in the lions centre. They moved it next to the lions centre (probably because of more visitors and because of lion smell) but it turned out beautifully!

You can feed a few birds here as well. At the first restaurant you come across, you can get these cups of green food for one euro to feed those little colorful birds with. It's much fun. I recommend you bring wet towels though in case they leave a poop. Outside of their enclosure theres a washing spot too where you can wash your hands

It all looks very tidy and taken care of. The quality is insane. I really like how it's turning out. The paths are nice too. You can take more than one path and you can really walk around their enclosures, which i really like.

When you're at this zoo, you will look at all the animals and it takes a few hours to get to the end. But walking back goes a lot faster. You just take the same route you took and eventually will also see exit signs.

At the start of the zoo, you can find a souvenir shop and at the lion centre as well. The lion centre shop is really all about lions which is understandable ofcourse.

Right outside the lion centre, like i said, is now a beautiful restaurant. And next to that, theres a whole playing area for kids. With things that are clearly new and very fun for the kids. I really recommend bringing your kids here. They will have a lovely day.

Lastly, parking here is great!! At first their parking lot was tiny. But they expanded it super much and it's huge now! Even that looks so tidy and neat.

Basically everything looks fresh, new, and tidy. And i love it. I'd almost say it is all perfect even though it isn't yet finished. They seem to be doing an amazing job despite of having gone through covid! Good for them! Keep up the good work! 5 stars for sure.

Lovely, natural, calm. Gorgeous place for the animals. Plenty of food, though the poor woman working alone at spa groen deserved a bit of help.

Fantastic lion and tiger sanctuary with many other species also for observation. Ethical Ness has been incorporated so that the animals are at all times the ones that come first special barriers make great observation points to see the cats. Food and drinks are also available to buy. Lovely place for locals and tourists. Educational and fun for all ages.

Beautiful zoo with spacious enclosures with lots of interesting animals (wolves, tigers, lions, bears, lots of different kinds of birds, monkeys and more) and the zoo itself is like walking through a forest. Plenty of shadow and places to sit.

The restaurants aren't cheap, but the big one has a big playground and plenty of shadow. (the smaller one has a playground, but not a lot of shadow to sit in to get out of the sun.)

I went here with my husband and my 14 m/o child and we had a wonderful day.

Great park, which also hosts "stichting leeuw", an organization that houses big cats coming from everywhere except from the wildlife itself. For the full experience it's advisable to get the workshop with lions/tigers.

A really awesome place to spend a day. Their engagement for the cats cannot be honored enough. If you go there do not forget to visit the odders - they are happy to meet visitors.
