Beautiful large area of forest, many walking paths. Great variety of mushrooms and a big part of the forest is entirely covered in mos which is quite unique. Certainly worth a visit.
The walk up in the trees isn’t super long, but a nice to add to your forest walk. (It costs around 4.50e to enter, kids t/m 4 for free).
There’s a restaurant, but you should expect the typical dutch snackbar menu.

We took our 2yr old daughter here. She often refuses to walk, but this place had the perfect balance of playgrounds and small hiking trails with plenty of stick huts and fun gnome hunts. We had a great day out

The walk on tree level is a bit short but definitely fun. When you exit, there are several walking routes available ranging from 3km to 16.5 km in length. We took -with two kids age 4 and 7- the forest walk of 4.5km (blue) and I must say we had the nicest time, we took the folder (only in Dutch) and learned so much about this forest on the way!

A forest in the province of Drenthe to reconnect with nature. Multiple pathways are being offered for all ages. Recommended!

Great place. There are nice hikes of different lengths. We did the shortest with 3 kids and it was great fun. A lot of playing areas and some educational stuff too

Great place to visit with kids. A scenic view from the top of the trees. A forest with lots of play areas.
Also ample parking space (free!) and good restaurants.

I can recommend everyone to visit this place

I loved this place, we got a pretty silent period when no one was around. If you are with kids be aware if you go up there, then you can't turn back. So if you afraid of walking on the top of the trees, you might think again.

Nice education of local nature in a playfull child friendly way. There is a special tour for children possible. The pad is nice not so expensive and you have some great views while looking above the threes. At the shop there is also some extra discovery possible of the life in the Forrest. You should walk definitely one of the routes in the Forrest which starts directly at the and of the boomkroonpad. There you find prehistoric burial mounds and great views. Also there are several spieces of sheeps which walk around.
In general for the amount you pay it is word it to visit!

Has a good visitor/educational center. The elevated walk is fun. Several tracks throughout the woods. Temporary pixi art project is great.
