Iguana reptile Zoo

We visited the reptile house in Breda last year. Good to know about this one too! The collection of reptiles here is extensive, and we had a good time, especially since only four of us were there this afternoon. It was a great opportunity to take a close look at those reptiles.

Iguana Reptile Zoo is there already as long as I can remember. As a child I visited multiple times with my parents. It's always fun and fascinating to "search" for the animals in their enclosures when they are not directly visible.

Paid €9.50 for me and my 3 year old and it was well worth it. I have no idea its backstory but to me it seems like a creation from someone who is passionate about reptiles and has spent a very long time collecting cool reptile stuff and the animals themselves look very well cared for. The place seemed to go on and on with a new surprise every room. I did not expect to spend over an hour in there and was me rushing as we had somewhere else to be after.

This place is a wonderful addition to anyones day in Vlissingen. The animals are very well cared of and have big and beautiful habitats with everything the animal needs. The structure is remarkable, every habitat has been placed in the building in a clever way to still make sure the original features of the building are showing!

I was pleasantly surprised. The way the exhibits are integrated in the old architecture is quite unique. The backgrounds of the exhibits are mostly drawn by hand and they give of an wierd antique collector's vibe.
The collection was very impressive. And the exhibits were in good condition.
The place could use a bit of renovating.
But Keep the style. There is potential.

And the nursery was amazing. Very cool idea.

Amazing experience. Great variety of species, very educational exhibits. Nice mission of the place: caring for sick/injured (or preciously kept privately in captivity) animals.

I'm not a fan of reptiles, but it was interesting. And it's a great job by the staff!

Excellently maintained zoo with very many exciting animals. Highly recommended for families on rainy days. Would be nice to have some additional information about the animals also in other languages (at least EN).

Very nice, we were very surprised that this is more than a normal zoo and they help and rescue animals.
Also a lot of informations about their environment and explained what humans do to animals.
We can recommend a visit, it takes about 90 minutes to go through.

Reptile Zoo Iguana is a shelter for reptiles, amphibians and arthropods. They give excellent care to all creatures and you can walk around for hours.

Excellent zoo only for reptiles. I wasn't expecting to see so may species..also a shelter for many rescued animals. If you are in Vlissingen - a beautiful small city by the sea- you should pay a visit.

Really great, also for kids!

It’s a very well kept and interesting reptile zoo with a great variety of reptiles and interesting information. But most of all: It is actually an animal shelter and all animals who live there were rescued - including the alligator! Some of these poor creatures had to be rescued from terrible circumstances and now get the chance to live in this shelter where they receive the treatment for various diseases they acquired during captivity before. Not all animals are on display. The zoo has five quarantine stations for the really sick ones and the personnel takes great effort in getting them fit enough to release them back into the wild where they belong (including flights to tropical countries etc.). All together a great job for reptile preservation is being done here and we were pretty impressed. great place to visit with children, our six year old didn’t want to leave :)

This place is great with tonnes of exhibits. Great for the kids!!!

Multiple Houses full of reptiles, spread over 2 floors, how amazing!

Goto place if you love reptiles! They are a sanctuary for abandoned reptiles, but also help with the breeding of rare reptile breeds.

The zoo was AMAZING! I absolutely loved it. There were super cute animals mixed with slightly creepy ones. There were so so many animals, we were surprised it just kept going! We spent about an hour here and it was so worth the price. If you're in the area please come visit, it's super worth it! There was a really cute 4 day old baby turtle, I'm so glad I got to see it!

The animals are adorable and look happy to see you, the staff is friendly and kind. There's a large variety of different types of animals, (snakes, bats, lizards, etc.). It's a great place to go if you want to see some exotic animals.
