Amazing! Just what we needed after London chaos. Booked only two nights and couldn’t resist booking an extra two. You can really tell that they put so much love and care into every space, especially the tents. We loved taking the bikes out for the day into the town and sitting around the camp fire that was lit by staff each night. The place feels like fairyland, surrounded by trees, beautiful lighting, horses and the cats!! The outdoor kitchen space is brilliant as well as the shower blocks. Thank you team! We will be back!!

Went there last month for a friend retreat, fell in love with the concept and vibe so much we came back this month again. The environment is very green and natural, and the camping is trying to be the least damaging they could possibly be to the environment. There is a hottub that is powered by a fire stove! (You do need to make a reservation) An induction hob in the outside kitchen, and a possibility to rent bicycles and go to the nearby swimming pool. The tents are all already equipped with beds, lamps, little tables, warm flooring and electricity. They even put up an extra part for us up front so we could sit outside in the rain without getting wet. Also more cats than I can count. 11/10 Would recommend.

My trip to Netherlands was made wonderful by the amazing camping grounds, their fabulous hospitality. I was impressed by how they've managed to keep this place beautiful and eco friendly. With friendly cats it made my stay even more pleasant especially when a cat asked me for pets the first time in my life, i am going to keep that moment close to my heart even though it seems little but for me a paw of approval is everything. Although the breakfast can be a little expensive but it is a treat to have. It was so delicious and with so many varieties. Thank you to the friendly staff (humans and felines included) and I definitely aim to visit this place again in the future :)

This place is in one word "amazing". The whole structure in combination with 98% nature is speachles. The rooms are great,hosts really friendly,nice and approachable,the food is also great. I don't see even one flaw. Great time for me. I recommend it to everyone!

Beautiful campsite, an oasis of nature (birds, frogs, etc), nicely decorated, lots of wooden construction, big fire pits, good toilet and heavenly shower, great shared kitchen and eat/chill area, last but not least very friendly people and a couple of funny cats! Definitely will come again :) Thank you

Very nice alternative Campground with already built up tents like a big Jurte and smaller and even bigger ones. Two bed family room plus supersweet dormatory also available. Super friendly and capable service, great outdoor kitchen with 5 flame gas stove, dishwasher and 3 fridges plus Minibar. Very nice fireplace for getting to know other people from all around the world. Family friendly and absolutely recommendable place with super fair prices.
We will definitely come back.

I was invited by the owners of The Helleborus for an Easter brunch. They gave us a tour over the camp site and it's really nice. There are accommodations of several types and for different group sizes, starting from 1 up until 8 people! The surroundings are stunning and the site has a lot of very clever sustainable facilities, such as biological toilets, showers and a hot tub. We had our brunch at the camp kitchen by the lake and it was gorgeous. I will defintely come back to stay here. Thanks and hopefully see you again soon!

I stayed here for over a week and enjoyed every minute of my time! Everybody is extremely friendly and the food is delicious and fresh. In addition to a comfortable room, you have the opportunity to explore a huge backyard garden/ forest area. Staying in such a unique place with genuine character and people makes it easy to relax. I hope to visit again soon! (Bus station 2 minutes walking distance and Groningen city center 30 minutes by bike!)

I really love this place and will definitely stay here whenever I'm in Groningen. The place is beautiful and so the people running the place fit right in ;)

I was staying originally only for a week until I had a place to stay in the city for a longer term. I ended up staying here for 3 months (and would have stayed longer if I didn't had to move due to renovation).
Walking down the road to the hostel for the first time, I could already make out the colourful lightbulps in the trees. And I think colourful describes this place the best. The people and volunteers are very interesting and interested and open minded. The place is clean and run very well. if you have a question they are super helpful. The overall atmoshpere is very homely. The breakfast and the dinner are highely recommended. If you want to go into town you can rent a bike for some euros.
All in all, it let me to stay as long as possible and I never regretted the decision. And after these months of staying here, I feel like being part of this great family.

All I wanted was a bonfire, shower and shelter for a night which I found and so much more. This little place is magical and will travel to Groningen again just to visit it.

Absolutely amazing. A Nice little getaway just outside of Groningen. Extremely friendly people, great atmosphere. If I need to go to Groningen again I know where I'll be staying.

A beautiful litte hippie gem. Gorgeous gardens, amazing open kitchen and super fluffy duvets. Complete with friendly cats, chicken and pigs.

Great food, very accommodating cooks as well. Cozy rooms, and a wonderful outdoor area as well. Large selection of games and books to keep you occupied as well.

This is an incredible place to relax. Really nice staff, delicious food and comfy beds. Make sure to stay here!
