Surprisingly good food. Service was nice but always replied to us in English even though we ordered in Dutch. Food came relatively fast and was served with care. I can definitely recommend this place

3 course chef's menu.

To start off, the chef knows what he is doing, every item on the plate is packed with flavor!
Every item compliments the other... Well thought over menu, excellent preparation, simply delicious.

Staff is very friendly with good knowledge of the menu and wines.

Atmosphere was laid back, nice music and location.
I had a table at the windows, and had a wonderfull view of people in the restaurant as well as passing by.

Would definitely recommend.

We come here for bruch we love the eggs benedict and omelette. We would definitely come again to try other options on the menu. We also love their big creamy cappuccino.

To be brutally honest as usual. One of the best lunches I have had in my life; I had the two course chefs choice. I highly recommend this restaurant.

FINE DINING from home > Personally, I’m a big fan of Marnix Benschop’s culinary adventures. He’s also the chef behind De Eenling. A culinary gem at Rotterdam’s little brother Schiedam. De Eenling cooks delicious and affordable 3, 4 or 5-course dinners for you to eat at home. Never a dull moment cause the menu keeps changing every week. And boy, what a menu last week! Smoked eggs with lovage emulsion, pearl barley with roast beef and a cream puff filled with sweet woodruff cream. Simple. Tasty. Beautiful.

Had an excellent brunch there. The breakfast menu is kind of hidden, apart from the sign outside, but rest assured it is there and it is delicious! The breakfast trifecta: eggs benedict, hash browns (rostie) and blueberry pancakes. Coupled with a Bloody Mary and cappuccino it was perfect! We shall return!

Beautiful place with special tap beers, extensive menu and always attentive service.

My first visit to De Eenling but definitely not my last. We chose the 4-course Chef's (surprise) Menu: what a gastronomical experience. The quality of the food and superb presentation was matched by the service! I’d highly recommend it to everyone.

Had dinner here after the lockdown. The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is well prepared and tasty. The menu isn't very adventurous per se but the attention to detail makes up for it. Definitely a pleasant surprise to eat this well in Schiedam.

Exceptional food & friendly service, I highly recommend this as the place to eat in schiedam. I had a three course sunday dinner with a fragrant lobster salad to start, followed by perfectly cooked duck. They have a really nice selection of unique drinks too :)

My Sunday tradition

Kerstdiner bij De Eenling en heerlijk 7 gangen menu met half wijn-arrangement! Bewijst weer dat je hier gewoon chefs- menu moet nemen want het was weer vol heerlijke verrassingen. Ik vond vooral de tarbot in rode wijnsaus, met schorseneer en de eendenlever met ossenstaart met mispel en kroot super lekker, maar de andere gangen waren ook gewoon heerlijk genieten. Altijd een feestje om hier te eten!

Heerlijk gegeten in een ruim en licht restaurant / brasserie. Informele sfeer met prima bediening die voldoende aandacht heeft voor de gasten zonder opdringerig te zijn. Zowel het vergetarische menu als dat met vees/vis waren gewoon prima. Een aanwinst voor Schiedam !!

Heerlijk, een waanzinnige toevoeging aan het horeca-aanbod in Schiedam. Een stukje Parijse cuisine, met een Rotterdamse attitude. Dit is waar een hoop mensen op hebben zitten wachten. Als apperatief een lekkere pastis, een vermouth en een alcoholvrije cocktail voor zoonlief, geconbineerd met brood en gebakken kalfsrillette. Als voorgerecht , asperge flan, met garnalen, of met gerookte kalfsmuis,heerlijk. De zalvige structuur van de flan gecombineerd met vlees/vis, was echt geweldig. Als hoofdgerecht, stoemp, stamppot, met heerlijke gecarameliseerde groenten, met of witvis, lekker glazig gebakken, of geconfijte eend, wow..... en dan ook nog een blokje gebakken, volgens mij, polenta, fantastische combinatisch. Alles begeleidt met een lekkere cremant de loire. En dan als toetje, een pavlova met rood fruit, voor vrouw en zoonlief, en voor mij kaas, met een fijne madeira. Het klinkt wellicht beperkt, een menu, met keuze vlees of vis, en enkele keuzes ernaast, maar de bediening legde uit, dat dit hun manier is om ervoor te zorgen dat ze, in deze tijd goeie producten met hoge kwaliteiten kunnen neerzetten tegen een zeer fijne prijs.Wat een heerlijk verlaat verjaardagskado van Ilse...dankjewel. ik heb genoten.

Zaterdag 9 december, wederom erg genoten van het 4 gangen diner. Het was vol, de sfeer goed en gezellig. Het eten is altijd weer een verrassing, gerechten die je niet kent, die je thuis nooit zal maken/bedenken maar die je wel blij maken. De medewerkers rustig, prettig en gezellig. Wederom een fijne avond.

Op eerste Kerstdag van een heerlijk smaakvol en verrassend kerstmenu genoten. De keuken, de bediening, de ambiance, alleen maar lof! Zeer aan te raden, meer verklap ik niet.
