Camping Papillon Country Resort

This is a great site. New park, facilities to a very high standard. We were told they are putting a new pool in over winter, but the current pool is still great with a little slide.
Everything reasonably priced! The kids loved the ice cream stall & toys in the shop.

What a great campsite!

We spent a week here in early July and would highly recommend this eco-friendly campsite.

Pitched up right next to the swimming pool and one of the many (excellent) playgrounds and near to reception, toilet blocks etc. The pitch itself was spacious and very relaxing.

There is a fabulous lake which is even better than the photos online suggest. Our 3 year old loved the shallow area and indeed found his water feet this week in this part of the lake.

The older kids loved looking at the little fish and jumping off the iceberg further out.

As for the pool, it's perfect for small and younger kids in that the shallow end is really shallow and the deep end isn't so deep so we were able to relax a bit while the kids had a blast.

There are loads of cycle paths nearby with the German city of Nordhorn only a 30 minute cycle for us ... about 15 minutes for the Dutch I'm sure.

Nordhorn has a good zoo, waterway pedal boats and a lovely lake port area where the food is spot on.

Plenty of supermarkets nearby too and a great spot to kick off from either back into central Holland or further on into Germany.

All in all, a wonderful campsite and one we hope to revisit in the years ahead.

First class and well run camping and caravan site, nothing was too much hassle. Indoor and outdoor pool were both welcome given the heat in June. Great example of how a site can be run using natural resources such as solar power and rain water. Pitches were all of a decent size, loads of play are areas for the kids, toilet blocks were superb and always clean. Very scenic location that also catered / suited cyclists. 2 well stocked fishing ponds for the discerning anglers I caught a few roach and dace and saw some big Tench and Carp also being caught, the outdoor pool had Barbel of approx. 5kilo swimming around in the shallows unfortunately you can't fish in this area as it's designated for paddling and swimming. Plenty of butterflies, given they try their best to support mother nature at all times on the site by careful pruning of shrubs, trees etc. Wildlife abounds given the location we saw Bats, Jays, Woodpeckers and Kingfishers to name but a few. Really close to German border which gave the option of buying groceries in either country of your choice we tended to go to Germany as it was slightly cheaper, on site shop is good for essentials such as milk, bread etc. Will defo make a point of going back can't rate it highly enough.

Several times here, lovely clean place. Too late this year,pool closed. Proprietor let us stay 2 extra nights. Thank you

Für Familien sehr zu empfehlen. Es gibt immer Programm für Kinder. Wir waren mit dem Wohnmobil auf ein Komfort Platz mit eigenem Sanitär Gebäude. Schöner Luxus, war eine positive Erfahrung wert. Das Restaurant und kleines Geschäft hat alles was man braucht. Alle sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Jederzeit wieder gerne.

Але =діти пішли в дом де рецепція розміщена по рушники. А за тиждень на букінгу нам за ті рушники виставили рахунок 70євро!!
Ми ті рушники залишили ж там!! Дітям жодної інформації про оплату не сказали

Wir waren das erste Mal in diesem Campingresort und hatten ein Safarizelt Deluxe. Die Einrichtung war super gemütlich und es war alles sauber. Der Ofen hat es noch gemütlicher gemacht und war bei dem kühlen Wetter auch nötig.
Das Badezimmer war toll und die Dusche war ein kleines Highlight.
Der Park an sich ist sehr gepflegt und schön angelegt.
Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker und auch der kleine Markt bietet alles, was man zwischendurch braucht.
Wir werden wieder kommen.

Echt toller Campingplatz. Wir waren in diesem Jahr 2 mal hier.
Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder.
Schwimmbad ist super für die Kinder.
Unsere waren 3 mal und öfter pro Tag dort. Auch die Unterkünfte sind super. Hier wird für jeden was geboten...
Also, auf gehts, selber hin fahren und
testen.

Wir, meine Tochter 5 und ich, waren dort im Juli eine Woche zelten! Für Familien mit Kindern ist der Campingplatz ideal. Die Animation ist zumindest in den Ferien besser als in manchem 5 Sterne Club Hotel von der Schnitzeljagd bis zur Abendshow für die ganze Familie es wird immer etwas geboten! Der Platz ist für meinen Anspruch sauber und gepflegt es gibt ein extra Kinder Sanitär inkl Dusche. Das Restaurant auf dem Platz ist wirklich gut. Das Schwimmbad auf dem Platz ist klein,alt und die Umkleidekabine ist ein Witz, aber das war meiner Tochter auch völlig egal sie hatte Spaß ohne Ende! Es gibt noch einen „See“ mit künstlich angelegtem Strand mit einer Seilbahn, Rutsche und einem kleinen Fußballfeld. Der Große Spielplatz am Schwimmbad ist neu und für eine 5 jährige für ca 1,5 std Beschäftigung mehr als ausreichend! Alles in allem ein wirklich schöner Campingplatz, den man mit Kindern bedenkenlos buchen kann und wer keine Kinder hat, sollte diese mögen und akzeptieren das Kinder spielen und laut sein können.

Een leuke camping, waar je van allerlei leuke accommodaties hebt. Het personeel is supervriendelijk. Wij hadden een cottage prestige en deze was erg mooi en schoon! Zeker weten dat we er nog een keer naar toe gaan.

Wir waren ein paar Tage im Mobilheim von Eurocamp da. Super netter Empfang an der Papillon Rezeption und dann die schönen Mobilheime. Für Kinder wird viel geboten. War ein schöner Aufenthalt. Ist sehr empfehlenswert

Review over kampeerplaats met privé sanitair.

Dit is ons tweede jaar op Papillon Camping in Denekamp, en het is opnieuw geweldig! Met onze vier kinderen van 2, 4, 6 en 10 vermaken we ons uitstekend. De oudsten kunnen zelf op avontuur gaan (behalve zwemmen natuurlijk), en zelfs de jongste vermaakt zich prima in de speeltuin naast onze caravan.

Er is zoveel te doen voor de kinderen, van georganiseerde activiteiten tot vrije speelruimte. We genieten ervan om te zien hoeveel plezier ze hebben.

De camping is goed verzorgd en de omgeving biedt prachtige landschappen om te verkennen. Dat we hier voor het tweede jaar zijn zegt genoeg over de geweldige ervaringen.

Dank je wel, Papillon Camping, voor een onvergetelijke familievakantie. We kijken uit naar nog meer jaren vol mooie herinneringen hier!

Weekje op de camping gestaan. Goed bevallen, was rustig (naseizoen). De camping is gezellig ingedeeld, keurig en schoon sanitair, zeer vriendelijke ontvangst en een prachtige omgeving. Nordhorn (Dld = aanrader) en Denekamp vlakbij. Prima.

Wir sind jetzt das 2 x vor Ort. Und wir werden wieder kommen. Super schöner und sauberer Platz. Das Personal ist super freundlich und immer bemüht. Und an dieser Stelle ein großes Lob an das Animationsteam! Ihr seid alle super toll! Trotzdem muss ich ein extra Lob an Timo aussprechen! Er ist mit einem großen Herz dabei und liebt seinen Job! Das spürt man in jeder Sekunde! Danke für die schönen Urlaube im Jahr 2023!❤☀😎
