National Genever Museum Schiedam

It's a deep dive into the Jenever history, which interlaces with Schiedam history.
Everything is well maintained, the staff is friendly and I recommend the tasting at the end of the tour. Really enjoyed

Nice Museum with many possibilities to try things out. It is worth it to wait for the distillers to get shown and told how Dutch Jenever is made today (look on website for times). Audiotour is available in different languages, for example English and German.

This is one of the must-see places not only in Schiedam but in the whole Netherlands.
Be sure to tryout the taste course. It's worth it.

Its a lovely street to walk.. Easy to reach by tram or train from Rotterdam center.

Didn't tour the museum but the Jenever tasting session was fantastic! Super knowledgeable and fun staff making the whole experience enjoyable and educational. Bought a few bottles from the store and will definitely return next time!

Most wanted tour parts only in dutch, but definately worth visiting also for the sake of the beautiful surroundings

Very interesting meseum to discover how jenever (and other distilled beverages) are made in real life, and to be able to taste on site at the top floor's cocktail bar! Friendly and knowledgable staff.

Awesome place. Lots to learn about Genever, you can get a tour of their own distillery, a great tasting, and you can buy some good Genever. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about things. Overall a great experience!

Marco was exceptionally knowledgeable and really went above and beyond in showing me a good experience! 3 tastings were 10€, I’d recommend trying anything under the “Bobby” brand. The Museum looked great, but time ran short and I didn’t get to experience it.

Great volunteers making jenever (on Tuesdays and Fridays) and giving an entertaining talk in Dutch or English. The museum is particularly fascinating for fans of graphic design & packaging, and there's a great little library. The tasting option is very well worth it! And don't miss the jenever sweets.

We went here yesterday and unfortunately the upper part was under construction and will be open in mid April again. We attend to their presentation of the history of Genever and the guy was very friendly and funny. Later on I bought some shot glasses and the woman at the reception was also very friendly. We will definitely come back here again to see the upper part.
