Beautiful historical church with lovely views of the countryside. Definitely recommend for a visit with friends and family.

A church with a very rich history, the most recent being Operation Market Garden. During this operation the men of the British 1st Airborne Division got stuck in Oosterbeek where this church served as an evacuation point for Operation Berlin and where Major Lonsdale gave a very famous speech from this church to the troops.

1,000 year old church building! Named after lieutenant colonel Lonsdale Who set a defensive position here at about midnight on the 19th and 20th of September 1944. It is also known as Lawnsdale Church. Lonsdale‘s last instructions for written on its door, which are on display at the Hartenstein Museum

Beautiful historical church, supposedly the oldest of the Netherlands (mentioned in 1027 in books). The church also plays an important role during WWII. There's a war monument on the premises. If you can't enter the church, enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Walk around the church. There are benches in the back to enjoy the beautiful view over the Rhine.

Very solemn place to visit. Great to see the building preserved. Very humbling to see the number of bullet strikes in the walls and hear the stories of the men that held this place during operation market garden. LEST WE FORGET

Bardzo ciekawe miejsce. Zabytkowy kosciół w którym w czasie operacji Market Garden opatrywano rannych alianckich zołnierzy. Został poważnie uszkodzony a po wojnie odbudowany w zmienionym kształcie.
