Zwanenwater

Absolutely nice track to do over there; not too long, not too short. You have some nice places for panoramic view. And on both sides of the lake there were hideouts for bird watching.
There is also a shorter track of a few km of you are with kids.

Beautiful dune area. One third of the 600 ha is accessible to visitors, but bring boots if you want to go full circle on the track: inundations can keep you from continuing the path and in such a case there is no other option but to backtrack the same route back to the entrance.
Lots and lots of birds. We didn't see any swans as the name of the area would suggest, but we did see plenty of nesting cormorants, grebes, various ducks and reed birds. We heard the call of the bittern, but it stands to reason that we didn't see it.

The Swanwater is a magical and beautiful coastal nature reserve near Callantsoog. There are cabins near the Swanwater lake on two sides, where you can spot birds.

A wonderful place to walk around. and to enjoy the animals in this area. only 2 euro entrance. Loved it !

Gorgeous place with two different trails: one about 45mins the other about half an hour. The longer one has a few lookout spots that vere off the trail, which include bird spotting huts on the water. Entrance is €3 (free if you're a member of natuurmonumenten), parking is free and there's a toilet at the start (and end cause it loops back) of the trail.

Prachtig natuurgebied, 3€ per persoon entree tenzij je lid bent van natuurmonumenten. De moeite waard met drie looproutes van 5km (bruin), 3km (gerl) en 2km voor minder validen en rolstoelen. Momenteel beperkte toegang vanwege overstromingen van de paden maar enkele kilometers kan je linksom of rechtsom wel maken.

Een prachtig wandelgebied met diverse routes van verschillende lengtes. Paden waren goed toegankelijk, ondanks de zeer hoge waterstand op dat moment. Het leek hier en daar wel een mangrovebos.
Er zijn ook twee vogelkijkhutten die bij mijn bezoek wel weer enig onderhoud mochten hebben.
Ligt vlak bij Callantsoog.
Entree is 3 euro pp, maar is het zeker waard en wordt goed besteedt.

Der Besuch kostet 3€ ( was kostet nochmal ein Liter Benzin, ein Hamburger oder das Abo beim Streamingdienst? ), Hunde sind grundsätzlich Verboten... Warum? Naja, es ist und bleibt ein Naturschutzgebiet. Die Tiere sollen dort ungestört leben können. Wer mit dem Hund Zeit verbringen möchte, hat in der Gegend viele schöne Orte zur Auswahl. Der Eintritt, der auch kontrolliert werden kann, ist als eine Art Spende zu sehen damit solche schönen Orte erhalten bleiben können. Alle Informationen stehen auch auf der Internetseite, daher verstehe ich nicht warum einige so überrascht sind.
Schöne Anlage, Ruhe und Natur pur.

Prachtige plek voor een heerlijke wandeling. Er waren 2 boswachters aanwezig die ons meer konden vertellen over de verschillende vogels die er in het gebied leven.

Zeer mooi gebied met een ruim aantal zit gelegenheden de routes brengen je bij zeer mooie stukken natuur en de mogelelijkheid is er om in een observatie hutje de vogels te bekijken. Wel weinig parkeer gelegenheid dus als het enigsinds mogelijk is zou ik te voet of met de fiets er heen gaan. Entree is 3 euro en voor leden van Natuurmonumenten gratis.
