Mooi Zeist Indonesisch Restaurant

Being familiar with Indonesian cuisine, this is one of the best Indonesian food experiences I’ve had in the Netherlands. High quality food, good service in nice surroundings.

Lovely restaurant. Lovely staff. Amazing food. Cosy outdoors. Great decors. Good portions. Nice choice of wines. Not a lot of options for vegetarians but the limited options are very tasty. The lift to reach the restaurant was quite unique and modern as well. Easy to park. Definitely recommend.

Mooi Zeist is, in my opinion, the best Indonesian restaurant in the Utrecht area. The restaurant is located in a quiet neighborhood of Zeist, they have free parking facilities and an outside terrace (perfect for warm summer evenings). I can highly recommend every item on their menu but also the buffet on Saturday evening is divine! It's all delicious and made with love. The ambiance and chairs in a restaurant, to me, are very important; the ambiance here is good! They have good lighting, comfortable seats and it's cosy. One of the most important things (nowadays), you can actually wine and dine here without anyone breathing down your neck. Must visit while in the Utrecht area!

Spectacular Indonesian food in a serene and upscale setting. The quality of the ingredients, preparation and service are first-rate. If you have had Indonesian food in the past you may be in for a very pleasant surprise. The subtle fragrances of the spices linger. A lamb salad has juicy lamb that is tender and flavorful. There is a good selection of wines that pair well with this type of food. Reservations are highly recommended. Visit when you are not in a rush

Great food, and while a little more expensive than usual, it's definitely worth it. Can absolutely recommend the rice table. Especially the desert was amazing. You are going to want to make a reservation and not just show up because chances are they won't have a table for you.

Ik kan er niets anders van maken dan op alle vlakken 5 sterren geven.

Je voelt je meteen in oosterse sferen als je binnenkomt en de trap op gaat naar het restaurant gedeelte. Hele fijne ontvangst door gastheer en gastvrouw.

Lekker drankje kunnen doen aan de bar alvorens aan tafel te gaan. De alcoholvrije gin tonic is super.

We hadden de meest uitgebreide rijsttafel voor ons gezelschap van 10 uitgekozen inclusief voorgerecht en dessert.

Alles was lekker, goed bereid en vooral veel.

Een mooie plek om te genieten van authentiek West-Javaanse keuken. De sambal oelek kwam niet uit een potje.

Geweldig lekker gegeten. Mooi opgediend. Super leuke bediening. Heel goed tempo. Ik ben verbaasd dat ze hier nog geen Michelinster hebben. Zo goed.
De groente goed knapperig en het vlees precies goed zacht.
Maar nogmaals, de bediening is heel goed.

In het kort: het omrijden waard!

Het restaurant ligt midden in een woonwijk, die van de locatie moeten ze het sowieso al niet hebben. Daarom is het des te beter dat het eten echt heel erg goed is.

We werden hartelijk ontvangen en kregen een mooi tafeltje. Het uitzicht rondom is opvallend vrij en hoewel de eetzaal een hoge open ruimte is, voelt het niet aan alsof je in een oude kathedraal zit.

De menukaart is simpel opgezet, maar de keuze is meer dan voldoende. Ook een combinatie van vegetarisch en vlees is gewoon mogelijk.

De bediening is correct, vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Het eten is goed op smaak. Wij hadden beiden best trek toen we kwamen, maar het was eenvoudig te veel om op te eten. Gelukkig doen ze over een doggybag niet moeilijk en wij waren zeker de enigen niet deze avond.

Echt de moeite waard en wij komen graag nog eens terug.

Heerlijk Indisch gegeten. Leuk restaurant met een warme sfeer en behulpzame bediening. Verder aan de achterkant een mooi terras waar je buiten kan zitten eten.

Weer heerlijk gegeten. Rijsttafel uitgebreid. Een restaurant waar je de liefde voor het maken van het eten ook proeft. Een dikke 5 sterren waard.

Het was een heerlijke ervaring. We hadden last minute gebeld en ondanks de drukte werd er ruimte voor onze groep van 7 vrijgehouden. Wij gingen voor verschillende rijsttafels, de smaken waren voortreffelijk en zeker authentiek. Zooo blij dat we het eten dat over was mee naar huis konden nemen.
