Super nice atmosphere, the owner (chef’s wife) is lovely and has advised us on very nice wines to pair with the food. The chef is extremely nice and friendly, came to greet us at the table, is asking for feedback to always improve and at the end of the dinner he gave me the best present I could ask for, some home made taleggio cheese!
The food was amazing, and the pictures speak for it - will definitely go back! Thanks for the nice gift and the warm welcome!

Another good find to remember for the future.
It is super tasty food with just the right level of creativiti, great friendly service - always around to serve but never to intrusive and nice cosy atmosphere which makes you feel like being in very familiar place where everything is on the right place.
All in all there were 4 or 5 course menue with few greetings from the kitchen in between.
Starting with a glass of good Spanish red fine. Smooth and served just at the temperature that revealed the wine's full potential. Others going for fresh Italian white .
Start with 3 super tasty oysters, followed by creation featuring salomon and pearl couscous. Then prawn bonbon covered with dried tuna flakes and continuing with really good pork belly from iberico. A bit of rest and the 3 type of deserts finishing with coffee, sweet wine and cognac.
We spend more then 3 hours here, but with lively discussion and great food this was just to short...
Definitely place to visit.

This was an unexpected and last-minute reservation on a Sunday evening to celebrate seeing an old friend visiting the Netherlands again, for the first time after COVID. It turned out to be a wonderful experience, with culinary surprises and lots of stories.

Very expensive, but worth the experience.

After a welcoming Prosseco, my partner and I enjoyed a five-course menu, which included two or three intermediate amuse-bouche. All of them were meticulously prepared and designed to match three wines throughout the course of the evening.

The restaurant carries a pleasantly quiet ambiance during weekdays. It was a fantastic evening spent!

First not only provides an outstanding culinary experience. It also is a definitive 5***** in location, service and style.

The venue is meticulously decorated and the service is just familiar and outstanding.

It won't be out last time at First :-)

Lovely restaurant. What sets it apart from others is the amazing energy the chef puts into the menu, personally explaining his choices throughout the evening.

Best sub-star experience we had in a long time. Great food, lovely service. They went the extra mile and it was greatly appreciated. We'll be back.

Bij binnenkomst een hele fijne sfeer,
Eten was super lekker en een erg vriendelijke gastvrouw. Heerlijk genoten en komen gauw terug.

Echt een geweldig restaurant. Nergens in Zeist zo lekker gegeten als bij First! Ook de wijnen waren fantastisch! Is iets prijzig maar is het zeker waard! En ook nog super leuke mensen die er werken. Enorm bedankt voor de fantastische avond!

We waren met bedrijf met echt grote groep .maar super geregeld, goed eten. Goede wijn. En er werd keurig rekening gehouden met diëten van een aantal.

Ik ben absoluut geen fijnproever en ben niet per se een liefhebber van haute cuisine. Vaak vind ik de gerechten vergezocht en niet lekkerder dan wat ik zelf kan bereiden.
Bij First heb ik ervaren wat echt lekker eten is! Hier worden gerechten geserveerd die je langzamer doen eten! Gecombineerd met een bijpassend wijnarrangement heb ik hier een avond buitengewoon genoten met vrienden, dankzij een hele fijne gastvrouw en een gepassioneerde chef die verstand van zijn vak heeft.
Ik voelde me ontzettend welkom, we werden goed verzorgd en verwend door alle lekkernijen die de revue passeerden.

Dit was voor mij een First, maar niet de laatste keer dat ik hier ben geweest!

Bijzonder, verfijnd en smaakvol in alle opzichten!
Er is duidelijk tijd, aandacht en passie besteed aan zowel gerechten als dranken!

Zeer verrassend.
Het ontvangst was even wat koel, maar het ijs bleek snel te breken.
Binnen in het restaurant aan tafel geschoven. Gelukkig voor ons was het rustig, niet te veel gasten, daardoor geen achtergrond stemgeluid.
De bediening hebben wij ervaren als, professioneel met een persoonlijke tint.
De maaltijd overtrof onze verwachting. Mooi gebalanceerd op smaak en goede kwaliteit producten.
Zeker een ervaring om te herhalen.
