Royal Curry Indian Tandoori Restaurant

Overall review is great food and service.

We called in advance for a table of two, and a seat for my 18 month old son. When arrived, we were escorted to our seats, which were nice and secluded. We brought along some food that needed to be heated up for my son, which was no problem.

Once seated we received our condiments, and ordered our food. The only (extremely) small complaint would be that the food did take a little longer than that we were used to. But, this could also be due to the fact that we were quit hungry as well.

We ordered the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala. Along with that, two garlic naan. The rice was nicely cooked, and each grain was separate from each other. So no mushy rice. The curries were both nicely seasoned, with no overpowering flavours. The Butter Chicken had a nice and sweet hint, and a more pronounced creamy and buttery flavour. The Chicken Tikka Masala had a sweet hint as well, with a mild kick of heat at the end. Overall a really pleasent flavour. We did not order a salad at this occasion, but will most definitely do on our next visit.

Another nice touch, in our opinion, was that the music was not the generic Indian tuned played in most restaurants. It were actual Indian songs.

Overall verdict is great food, good service and most definitely visiting again in the near future.

First time I really enjoyed Indian cuisine. I will come back for sure to try more. Big thumbs up!!!

Very nice indian restaurant with friendly staff. We tasted chicken tikka massala and chicken tikka mushroom. Both were very delicious.

Amazing service...amazing food. great taste.. egg curry is must to eat when you come here and not only egg curry but every dish tastes wonderful. Preparation of the food is also very good and the service is awesome. you will always get freshly cooked food here. Ambience of the place is also very nice. The guy Alexander is a wonderful person. His behavior and the way he greets is phenomenal. A must visit restaurant in leidscheindam. :)

Eaten here many times since it opened.Being a Brit this restaurant caters for our tastes in curries. Our favorite starter is tandoori mix starter & the meat just melts in your mouth, husband likes a hot curry & he’s never disappointed. Varied menu, friendly service, tasty food, easy free parking on street or neighborhood & is on our doorstep! Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

The best Indian food in the region. Full of authentic flavours, nicely spicy but will be served less spicy if you wish. Lovely ambiance and great staff. Constently high quality at an affordable price. A great dining experience!

The food was very tasty and more than enough. The ambience and the service was quite very good and friendly. When we travel again from Germany to The Hague we come back 😌👍

We went there last week and i was expecting yet another typical European Indian Restaurant that serve toned down version of Indian food but we were in for a delightful surprise...the food was not only delicious but also tasted the way it is cooked in India especially the Garlic Chicken, it was perfect to the T and naan was well cooked . Mr. Achyut (also known as Alex) who was host in the restaurant is a friendly person and ensured we got the best service... I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Indian food. Only con--> Price is bit on the higher side , but again don't mind shelling that extra money with food of this quality & taste. P.S - The interior of restaurant is beautiful. :)

Very authentic taste

We regular have dinner here or order take out. Very authentic food. One of us is indian and he loves it. I am normally not too much in indian but the choice here is great and until now i akways found something really good and tasty. The owner is super friendly and looks well after everything. We can strongly recommend this restaurant if you like authentic indian and Napalies food.

The food was delicious. We ordered the chicken curry Madras and it was perfect. We are very happy with the service. The delivery was way before time.

The food was amazing. I have such high praises for the lamb tandoori. It was the best lamb i've had in my life. The Naan is perfect and the curries are full of flavour.

Very good place.
Best thing here is Indian breads are nicely & thoroughly baked. I had butter Naan, Peshawari Naan & cheese Naan. Butter Naan like this in Holland I could not find anywhere else.

Best curry I have had in The Netherlands. Will definately recommend them 100 %.

That was an incredible experience, the food was exquisite and the service was excellent. Will definitely come back every time I'm in Leidschendam and I highly recommend it ;)
