Lidl

A good change from regular super markets.
Being new to NL, could see some new brands in this outlet other than regular ones we see in other super markets.
Pricing wise I did not see much difference but could see variety.
Worth visiting if you have not visited LIDL yet.

Unlike from AH on the same street, I have never received an unfriendly treatment here, quite the opposite, not just the staff but also fellow customers. Love the discounts and quality.

Best supermarket with best fruits and vegetables

I love this store. It has only few A brands, but the B brands are often just as good or at least a little different enough to make it interesting and new! Also, they’re cheap. I like to save money, it’s my thing.

The staff and manager are very kind and friendly. Love their level of customer service.

More and more name brands and their own-brand gourmet items have improved, as have their baked goods. This is my go-to place for all my staples. I'm always amazed at the weight of my shopping bag when I leave here after having spent relatively little money. Mid-morning is a good time to shop to avoid the crowds, except at the weekend, when people descend on this place like biblical locusts. Nevertheless, the staff keep this place well stocked and spotlessly clean. Extra bonus: no annoying music. No music at all, in fact. Thumbs up!!

Great place nice people

I discovered this chain on my recent trip to Italy. For a family of 4, I would pay for a cart full of food about 100Euro. I came back to Amsterdam and decided to find Lidl here. I usually shop at the AH, but yesterday I got on my bike and got here.
It was clean and organized. Still, all produce and packaged food were still in the boxes, which did not bother me at all, but I can see how some people could find it a bit disturbing.
Fruits and Vegetables were fresh and undamaged.
Fish selection while small, had a good salmon and cod filets.
Chicken and Meat had a sufficient selection.
Laundry detergent was priced very reasonably.
This is not my regular shopping place, as I still value AH XL selection, but If I need basics and have time to bike back/forth I would be back.
Oh, and chocolates are so good!

This particular Lidl is very spacious. Regarding quality of the food, Lidl in NL have gotten awards for best veggies a couple of years in a row for a reason. The food is of better quality at a lower price than the all too popular main supermarket, AH.

Good products, great variety and low prices. Every so many weeks they have a theme and then they have produce of a specific country which is always fun to try

Great to have a Lidl in Amstelveen. It has the normal assortment of a supermarket and some different brands and items. Very good prices. Easy parking. Recommended!

The store has a fresh look and love their choices of fresh produce and bakery goods. Amazing prices compared to any other supermarket!!
