An absolutely stunning museum with a magnificent reception hall/café. At the time of this writing (28/9/22) one half of the museum is closed for the preparation of new exhibition but there's plenty to see and enjoy. Schiedam is a beautiful town with plenty of attraction and is easily reachable by public transport from Rotterdam. Highly recommended

This museum never disappoints me! Very good exhibitions, friendly staff, good environment! If you come to Schiedam, definitely do not miss this!

Friendly staff, great installations and the exhibitions at the day we went were really nice.

This is a museum that you can easily cover everything in about 1-1.5 hour.

They have a Café and a gift shop.

It was a pleasure to visit again this museum. Such very good exhibitions in such a small city! You would expect this kind of attention to contemporary art in bigger cities, but this museum will surprise you ;). If you have the chance, buy a small artwork from the sigarette vending machine.

Beautiful building, multiple exhibitions of renowned artists and local artists. There is a creative room for kids downstairs where they can let their minds roam free. The store was a bit pricy.

A touch expensive if you’re not a local or student, by worth every euro. You can sit alone in a room with a Rothko painting. That was quite a memorable moment. In addition, you will find an exhibit celebrating High Street (the infamous street for shops and such showcasing the oldest and newest addition. The other exhibit was sharing works of female artists from Dutch history. If that wasn’t interesting enough, it pairs the artists from the past with female artists from today. Well worth a visit. Please explore High Street after visiting this museum as it takes on a whole new vibe once you learn about its past.

Very nice place to visit with kids! I fully recommend it!

Excellent modern art exhibitions with very funny signs around the museum. There was Covid-19 photo exhibit, a wing about Realism, and a big installation of a moving plate that it was a standout. Varied. I had a good hour and a half inside.

Went recently when it was free for the day, and was really pleasantly surprised. The Jan Hoek photo exhibition, and the old photos of Schiedam, were great. Staff were also very approachable and enthusiastic.

It's a very fun and open museum. There is so much more to it than just the works exposed. There are so many other things to do here as well. And there is something for everyone and everyone is welcome. And the exhibitions are amazing. It's really worth checking out.
