The location is directly behind the dam and the beach. Excellent camping ground

Arrived on 11/09/23 stayed for three nights & left the site on the 13th. Hadn't booked in advance but joined a short queue of vans and waited our turn. Reception personnel were friendly, and efficient and allocated us a camper place pitch. Camper Pitch had paved slabs to drive onto with electric hook-up (only 4 amps we managed to trip the trip switch plugging in the kettle for a cup of tea! Site staff soon sorted 👍 much more careful afterwards). You can walk from the site over the dunes to Petten Beach on the edge of the North Sea. The cycling from the site following the Dutch excellent cycleways was great. Facilities we're were of a good standard and regularly cleaned. The weather while there was hot & sunny and the location of the site meant that the site was very busy with people wanting to enjoy the weather. On the morning of the 13th around 4.30 a.m. we were woken by the sound of strong winds and driving rain opened the van door to see the awning lifting. The wind gusts were too strong for the storm guys and us to hang onto it; with the help of a fellow camper, we had to cut off the awning to prevent damage to the van. As dawn broke it revealed damage across the site many motorhome wind-out awnings and extensions had suffered similar damage; the site itself lost several of its glamping tents and other damage. The site staff were excellent and we're out and about helping to sort out things, they helped us remove the badly damaged awning cassette (fortunately no further damage to our van others were not so lucky). It took everyone by surprise with no warning of an approaching storm it didn't last that long but left its mark. We were able to continue our touring although minus an awning. Thank you once again to the site staff for their help.

Beautiful campsite, we will definitely return in the future. Lovely that in October and march dogs are allowed. Really well priced and great facilities.

SCHÖN, SAUBER UND NAH AM MEER
Wir hatten sehr tolle Zeit hier am Meer und in der Natur. Man hat hier alles, was man braucht: Natur, Ruhe und Zeit für einander. Sehr saubere Waschhäuser, tolle Spielplätze und sehr freundliches Team mit guten Sprachkenntnisse. Empfehlenwert für Fahrrad.
Hinweis: Man darf nur vor 22 Uhr mit dem Auto in den Campingplatz reinfahren. Hier gibt es auch Strom, aber man sollte die 3-polige Steckdose mitbringen. Bei der Rezeption kann man auch frische Orangensaft und viele Dinge zum Essen kaufen.
In der Sommerzeit um 6 Uhr früh kann man sehr schönen Sonnenaufgang bewundern.
Ein Minuspunkt ist, dass es hier nur wenige Bäume gibt, sodass am Abend oder wenn es stark regnet, die Zelte werden beeinfusst können.
Grillen mit Strom ist auch eine tolle Aktivitäten

Sehr schöner Platz direkt an den Dünen. Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Brötchen jeden Tag frisch, preislich auch in Ordnung. Sanitäranlagen könnten ein bisschen sauberer sein (kommt vielleicht auch auf die Tageszeit an wann man diese aufsucht). Wir kommen gerne wieder.

2023: met verdriet lezen we over het besluit om een ander concept te starten….. waarom?? Brengen campeerders en camperaars niet voldoende binnen? Waarom moet alles luxe? Waarom mag zo dichtbij het strand niet zijn voor de ‘gewone man’. Er is straks geen ‘gewone camping’ meer over. En nu jullie ook al…. Erg jammer……..

2022: voor de tweede keer een bezoek aan deze camping voor 2 nachtjes. Sanitair netjes en heerlijk warm/heet water. Leuke uitstapjes mogelijk naar Alkmaar, den helder, Schagen en natuurlijk het strand met palendorp Petten. Petten zelf en strandpaviljoen zee&zo mag zeker niet vergeten worden.

2021:We kregen een vriendelijke ontvangst en keuze uit verschillende plaatsjes ‘uit de wind’ voor de camper. Er is op elke plaats verharding voor de wielen en daarnaast gras om je stoelen neer te zetten. Er is eventueel stroom op de plaats. Sanitair is netjes, verwarmd en er is ivm COVID-19 een looproute. Van de camping loop je via een trap een duin op en daarachter de zee met strandpaviljoen. Op 10 km noordelijk ligt het gezellige Callantsoog of zuidelijk Schoorl. ‘Jeugdhonk’ t/m 17 jaar. Broodjesservice.

Schöner Campingplatz in den Duinen. Sanitäranlagen ausreichend groß und sauber. WLAN vorhanden; aber sehr unbeständig.
Leider wird die Saison 2023 die letzte sein, in der man hier campen kann. Es wird groß umgebaut und danach gibt es keinen Campingplatz mehr.
Die Lage, direkt am Meer ist toll. Es gibt unzählige Rad- und Wanderwege.
