Very nice experience. Service was amazing and the food delicious. The restaurant itself is really nice, old windmill next to the water with a very charming ambience.

Charming interior heralding the history of Schiedam and the windmills of the Netherlands. Service was fast, attentive and available in both Dutch and English. Food was prepared quickly and was delicious. Excellent experience!

We had a very nice time at Restaurant De Noordmolen.

I went there with a group of people from work and even though we were in about 50 people, the service was really nice, attentive and polite.

The food as well was really good, well serveded and tasteful!

I really suggest people to try this one.
The food was incredibile and the staff nice and caring.

During my business trip in Rotterdam, my European team arranged a very special dinner for us in a windmill.

The salmon palet came with 2 giant white asparagus. Smoked and marinated salmon were served with mustard honey sauce. It’s very interesting to have salmon with mustard honey sauce but it ended up tasting pretty good😋😋😋

This was my first time trying monkfish. The fish was grilled and came with prawn, veggie and mashed potato. The taste was nice but I thought my colleague’s fillet steak might tasted better 😅

After the starter and main, we got a surprise for desserts. 🥟🥟🥟

Apple Gyoza with vanilla ice cream was perfect combination. It’s like a classic apple pie with ice cream. Balance of sweet ice cream and sour apple. It’s a Japple pie😋Love it😍😍😍

The most surprise ‘dessert’ was cheese platter as I didn’t understand why a savoury dish was put in dessert menu😅 One bite with cheese and one bite with apple gyoza. It’s a perfect pairing. Amazing 🤩🤩🤩

This restaurant is just 15 mins by metro from city centre. It is situated in the picturesque city of Schiedam. The interior is cozy and the staffs are friendly. Worth to visit if you are in Rotterdam 🥰🥰🥰

A wonderful evening. My first time dining in a windmill. The decor is functional, with tables nicely spread around the ground and first floor. The welcome is warm and we are quickly seated. The menu is a nice mix of standard dishes with the odd special. The starter of mixed seafood is very well prepared, brown shrimps, smoked salmon, smoked eel and a cured salmon in Jenever. The mains also delivered . The house speciality of Dover sole was fantastic. A huge fish, simply but perfectly cooked in butter. The standard Dutch fries were unnecessary due to the generous portion sizes but were of course picked at anyway. The special pudding selection was very well executed with some interesting flavours. Drinks were selected from a nice mix of beers and various wines. The service was very friendly and attentive. Maybe too friendly for some but we enjoyed the bonhomie. We left very full and satisfied vowing to return. I now understand why the restaurant enjoys such high regard.

We’ve just eaten outdoors at this restaurant as it was a really warm evening. The food here was really special, we felt. We had mixed starters to share, and a desert each, and they were all very tasty, well prepared and presented, and we had excellent service. It felt fun and unusual to be dining at the world’s tallest historical windmill, by the side of a canal with views over the water.

A lovely end to our holiday. A delicious meal on the first floor of the tallest windmill in the world. The menu was original and had a few dishes not commonly seen. The wine was good but not pretentious or expensive. And the proprietor was friendly and helpful.

Owner was super friendly to two Americans looking for a romantic spot and delicious food.

If we are ever lucky enough to make it back to this beautiful country again, we will return here.

As a tourist in Schiedam, this is an absolute hidden gem. We were entranced by the light emanating from the base of this cute windmill. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. Would return in a heartbeat.

Best restaurant I've found in Schiedam. Love the sole. The seasonal white asparagus were great. The staff is friendly and accomodating. We brought our own wine, for which they charge a reasonable corkage fee. They also have a good wine selection of their own. Highly recommended!

Delicious food and beautiful ambiance. Worth to visit the restaurant if you are in Netherlands. It is the tallest windmill. I love their desserts too after a main course.
