Beautiful reserve with lovely views, wildlife and fantastic cycle paths. There is a dedicated mountain bike track which is 26km long as well as multiple other walking and cycling routes. There are lakes, areas of sand dunes and paths through a large area of forest. The area has some interesting history and monuments and is a nice place for families and people of all ages.

There are a lot of things to do in this Nature Reserve, you can do cycling , horse back riding, hiking, mountain biking and so on. We went there for a short hike, but you actually have 7 different routes to choose from depending on your preference. After the hiking, you can always sit and have some refreshment drinks in Bosch en Duin

A beautiful landscape. It is worth getting lost and enjoying the views. The park is not big so one day you can visit it completely. There are designated roads for pedestrians and, above all, for cyclists. There are 5 entrances to the park.

Loonse and Drunense Duinen National Park is a hidden gem of natural beauty that's not to be missed. From the moment I set foot in this expansive park, I was captivated by its enchanting landscapes.

The vast dunes and forests are a playground for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. The pristine trails are perfect for hiking and biking, offering a chance to immerse yourself in the tranquil surroundings. I couldn't help but marvel at the ever-shifting dunes, a sight to behold.

One of the highlights of my visit was the diverse wildlife that calls this park home. I spotted various bird species and even glimpsed some wild rabbits. It's a haven for wildlife photographers and birdwatchers.

The park's natural serenity is a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The peaceful atmosphere is simply rejuvenating. I highly recommend a visit, whether you're seeking an adventurous day out or a tranquil retreat.

The Loonse and Drunense Duinen National Park exceeded my expectations in every way.

This is a wonderful for people and for doggies! We love to walk and play with our dog there. There is a big area where our four legs can run freely. It’s such a beautiful national park, you can see trees, sand dunes, heath, water...... there are also nice restaurants and good facilities in the neighborhood . It’s also a great place for enjoy the nature with the whole family. Just love this place.

Great place to come over for a walk, especially with a dog. Be aware that the wind on the dunes is quite strong and it always feels colder over there. Definitely worth seeing if you live nearby and cant imagine a dune inside a forest so close to the city.

A beautiful and surreal nature area. Really loved being there evening time when there were not many people and listening to the sounds of nature and wind. Saw few rabbits. :)

Fantastic park with lots of forest and dune sand grounds. I went for a full 30KM run around the park with some others following by bike. The nature is great. On another day we went for a walk, where there are indicated tracks, although they are easy to miss. We took the entrance on the Efteling side. Just take the flyover (A59) and you are at the start of the track

A beautiful place for a historic walk, lots of interesting reminders of WWII, sobering at the same time. Special places for free, off leash, dog play, out of the way of other nature lovers.
A great place for a lovely coffee too.
We did a 5k walk, not too challenging, just nice to get ‘a fresh nose’ 😉

Great hiking trail. Pure nature. Just follow yellow arrow and do not forget where you started. I recommend to take a photo of map at the beginning.

The Drunense Duinen is a National Park situated in the south of the Netherlands. It’s considered one of the largest sand dune areas in Western Europe and carries the nickname ‘Brabantse Sahara’. It’s a lovely place for a peaceful walk, a bike ride or to walk your dog!

An absolutely incredible place and completely unexpected. More like being in Namibia than Holland with sand dunes stretching for miles. It helped that we were there when it was 35C for the full desert experience. Utterly beautiful.
