Some people travel to relax, others do it to explore. Not me. I travel for one reason only: cheese. I’ve long had Gouda in my sights because it is, in fact a cheese but I never thought today would be the day my life would change. Today was the day I discovered the joyous wonder of ‘t Kaaswinkeltje. No other cheese related experience or store has ever come close (and I am well traveled and a respected member of the cheesing community). What I left with is infinitely more valuable than the delicious cheese they sell: an experience I’ll cherish for a lifetime. If you are in Gouda—nay—if you are on the European continent, YOU MUST visit ‘t Kaaswinkeltje.

Amazing cheese shop where you can taste from a variety of cheeses. The service they provided to help you transport means you can buy and keep for weeks unchilled. Loved many but settled on a beer Gouda one and a Spicey one as well.

Probably the best cheese shop I have been to in my life so far. They have ~30 kinds of local cheese if I estimate it correctly. You can try every single kind of them - they offer free samples right next to the cheese itself. They also have a dozen or more of other kinds of cheese (non-local ones like Gorgonzola) which they sell but you cannot try. The staff is friendly and polite. This shop is a must if you are in Gouda - I bet everyone will find cheese they like. I wish we had more of such customer-centric businesses

I love getting some cheeses here for myself, but when i send package to my homeland in every quarter, i buy cheeses only in this store (they have vacuum machine!). The staff is very kind, friendly, informative, english speaking. They have a quite wide range of various products, traditional and innovative interesting as well. If you visit Gouda, dont miss to check this shop. They also have cheese snacks to taste 😉

It is definitely worth a stop if you are in town (or a detour if nearby). It is almost impossible to exit the shop without a piece of cheese and a new favorite gouda flavor

This is the best gouda cheese and other amazing cheeses in Gouda. Locals and tourists buy from this incredible store. The people working there are great, they let us taste every single cheese and more.

An amazing selection of cheeses, of all different flavours and colours! From truffle to chili to charcoal, a cheese for absolutely everyone. The best part is that they have samples of each cheese for you to try and see which you like the best before purchasing. Nothing better than cheese samples! Reasonably priced as well.

If I hadn't visited this store, I probably would have regretted it a bit. I visited to this shop in the morning because of the train schedule, even it was early morning, I could taste variety cheese, and bought some for gifts. Dank je!

A hidden gem, the most enchanting exterior with a magical interior and an almost infinite variety of Goudas.

Super friendly staff, who are genuinely happy to let you taste your way around and then pack your cheeses goodness for transport home.

Then after take a stroll around the small but beautiful town before heading back to the square for a drink and nibble.

A great place to try out and purchase Gouda cheese in all flavors and variants imaginable! This is honestly the best place to go for a cheese tasting experience.

Of all the cheese shops in Gouda, this is by far the best. I was not going to buy any cheese in Gouda as I came to visit the Siroopwafel factory, but as we were wasting the rest of our day we decided to check out the cheese shops for the fun of it and later in the day we passed by and checked it out.

They have small bites of EVERY cheese on display to test out. So obviously we were curious and tried most of the different cheeses. We found some surprising flavors and decided to buy them.

If you’re unsure about what to buy, this shop is definitely the place to go to make sure you’re buying something you like and not just some random Gouda.

They also have an amazing selection of foreign cheeses. I was surprised to find French cheeses that are not the most common one even in France.

Skipped the cheese experience and went right to this shop instead! Very well worth it. A lot of free samples of many cheeses. The host was skilled with helping travelers and knowledgeable about everything. We are excited to bring home Gouda!

Extremely fresh cheese in mind blowing flavors like olive chili garlic, truffle, cumin, plain Gouda (both young and aged), lemon and many others. The staff is very friendly, speaks English, and we had a fun experience at the shop. I actually lost my passport in this shop and the owner is such an angel that he found me on Facebook and informed me about it, thereby saving me from a lot of hassles, effort and money. I’d highly recommend going here!

Nice to buy various kinds of cheese with sweet staffs.

A wide range of cheese types. Prices may not be very attractive but it's nice to have delicious cheese from Gouda. I personally like the blue one with lavender.

Absolutely 5+ star! Yes it's touristy; it's located right in the middle of Gouda's tourist attractions. However look at the selection, the chance to taste the various cheeses and the friendliness of the family who runs the store. No wonder it's packed! Each cheese of your choice is carefully vacuum-packed and most can be left at room temperature during your further travels. When you are in Gouda do pop in to this store

This place is great! There is so much cheese on offer and it looks amazing. There is tasters and testers all around so you can find your favourite cheese and you will not be disappointed as they all tasted good. I guarantee you'll be able to find a cheese you'll like. It also looks amazing with the walls lined with cheese blocks and a mountain of cheese in the middle of the shop. It just looks beautiful!
