A nice place to enjoy a good drink and some good food in the old city centre of Rijswijk. Recommended!!

Didn't dine but really liked the energy and the passion of the staff. Weekly updated menu, lovely selection of wines.

Best restaurant in Rijswijk and The Hague. This place is absolutely fantastic, the service is great, the atmosphere is very pleasant, the cocktails incredible and the food is simply wonderful. Every time I go I'm surprised by how tasty and delicious every dish is, such a huge fan of the cooks! Excellent value for money, highly recommended.

The staff was quick and frequently came to check, but not obnoxiously so.

The food was also served relatively quickly, and fresh, well-presented and high-quality ingredients.

I stopped there for a quick lunch between clients, and ended up with a definite new regular spot for me!

A bit out of the way (as compare to The Hague city center), this restaurant is a true culinary gem. Their fresh dishes are amazing and their seasonal menu is a true adventure throughout the year. As you may expect, prices are not like your average pub, but the food quality is amazing, and this place offers amazing value!

Had a fantastic lunch! We chose the selection of all the starters, which were beautifully presented and tasted great, the guy that served us was really professional describing each dish in a friendly manner without being intrusive, I would recommend this place for a special occasion lunch!

I ventured into Oud Riswijk in the search for more soul to the place and found it in De Wits. Not a Dutch speaker, I was welcomed with a big smile by the lovely waiting staff. I was again avoiding Heineken so chose the a really flavoursome dark beer. I was immediately taken by the cover of warm crusty bread with not only butter, but their very own smoked mushroom mayonnaise - where can I buy some??
My starter of Likkepot (paté veal pastrami, pickles, crusty croutons and chive mayonnaise) was presented beautifully in a modern style. One of those dishes where you lift and discover a new element each time. My roast venison in a Texel Winter Beer gravy main course was accompanied by croquette potato, pumpkin/orange cream and another extravagant smear of carrot compote and cinnamon. The venison itself was perfectly cooked - pink and therefore oozing with flavour. The preceding dishes were exemplary so felt I had to have a dessert before leaving. I had the Gin & Tonic (panna cotta with clove cranberry jelly and ice gin and tonic next to warm orange sabayon and salted lemon sorbet). This was a great light dish to finish with complementary flavours and textures. Without a doubt this is the best restaurant in Rijwisjk and I haven't even mentioned how buzzing and city it is!

De Wits is a really great open air combined closed restaurant. Cold beers, great cappuccinos and service. In the heart of Rijswyk.

Ordered the "surprise" meal, 3 courses. EXCELLENT!!!! Presentation to perfection and all prepared to rate 5/5 stars. Recommend this restaurant for a great meal.
