Wildlands

I loved my visit to Wildlands! I loved the animals and I was lucky enough that most animals were outside and well visible. There were also a few young animals, which were very cute :) I especially enjoyed the Jungola area where you can feed a jelly cup to birds for only 1 euro a cup

My favourite part was definitely the boat ride in Jungola - it gives a great view of the elephants there (I love elephants) and it's nice that they play different audios, so you don't hear everything again when you decide to ride the boat again.

The food was honestly much better than I expected from a Zoo. In the Jungola part, we had wok for 12 euro a person, and in the Serenga part we had some burgers and fries for about 32 total. The food was pretty high quality and the price is better than I expected from zoos.

I went with my boyfriend, but I can imagine how it could be perfect for kids as well: there are plenty of child-friendly activities like rollercoasters, a climbing area, and as a large indoor playground area to name a few.

The only downside I have to mention (and which is incredibly nitpicky) is that the cohesion is lacking in Serenga and Nortica. The animals in Serenga were from all sorts of countries/continents and these were mixed together. I understand that they combine climates, but it was a bit confusing to us.

Wildlands is such an awesome spot. There is no end of things to do for kids, plenty of coffee spots for the parents. Playgrounds inside and out and obviously plenty of animals. The shows are also pretty interactive and interesting and not too long or too short!
We arrived at 10.20 with a 2 and 6 year old and we only left at closing time. It was a fantastic day out. Its easy to navigate too and the maps are very handy

What an amazing zoo.
The animals are so well looked after, spent a whole day here, we loved the boat ride, and the safari truck to get closer to the animals, and the bonus of the roller-coaster is just a big plus.
So many different areas to explore, a fantastic day out. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

And some animals I've never been able to see before such as the polar bear, and some of the fish are amazing.

Went a few years prior, and the park definitely got a lot better. You might not get the variation of exotic animals you do at more traditional zoos, but the experience at wildlands sure is better: much more thematic and nice enclosures, lots of different ways to experience the animals (like underwater viewing points) and distinctive areas. The only point of feedback I have is that there isn't a lot of information on the signs near the animals. It would be cool if there were ways, either on the signs themselves or through qr-codes, to get more information.

Enjoyable experience overall. Entrance, however, is absolutely crazy, one second you're in the middle of the city centre wondering where the zoo is supposed to be, as it feels you would enter a cinema or mall with all the buildings in the background. The next second you're in the zoo wondering where the city went unable to imagine being in the city centre. Wasn't concentrating for a minute and this experience struck me and still stuck in my head. Zoo itself is interesting to explore, not too big, but many open areas. I'm sure it's a blast for kids, with something to find every few steps. Definitely worth a try.

They also got some animals you dont see often like the hippopotamus.

Fantastic park to visit year around. Not only are the animal enclosure settings beautiful but also spacious. In addition, there is a roller coaster and an indoor jungle cruise in the park.

There are plenty of places to sit, eat and WC.

The best restaurant is inside the jungle area near the jungle cruise. I don't recommend Momma's restaurant. The cheesburgers with bbq sauce are overpriced and terrible tasting. 😫

One of the best zoo experience we ever had!
They maybe have fewer animals. But the whole experience makes it amazing. The details around each zone. They have a boat ride, role coaster, a safari trip, 4D movie.
There is a giant climbing area for kids inside.
Every food place was not open. Probably not season yet.

Amazing light shows. Seeing the zoo at night was a special event!

Very big zoo and also crowded in the weekend. For the rest : organized, a lot of restaurants and places to rest.

A zoo with 3 zones - Jungola (the world of the tropical jungle), Serenga (the world of the hot dry), Nortica (the world of the ice cold).

Nortica will take the lest time to explore and Serenga the most. Would recommend heading off to Animaxia play area in Serenga last cz it could be hard to get the kids to leave once you're inside.

Hands down this was one of the best zoos I've visited so far. You need a well planned full day to cover all attractions with toddlers.

We brought our own food to save time spent in restaurant queues so no idea about the in-house restaurants.

Zoo offers close encounters with animals where most animals seem very tame and unafraid of humans and it's well organized into different zones and themes.

Special features:
Jungola: river cruise through a tropical jungle, butterfly garden;
Serenga: rollercoaster ride, safari ride, Animaxia (huge indoor play area for kids)
Arctica: 4D movie, sea lion live show at arctica theatre (pls check timings and be there on time. This 20-30 min long sea lion stunt show is held only three times during the day and timings are published in the website)

There are diff presentations done in different exhibits of the zoo giving explanations about animals in the exhibit (schedule is published in their website). We couldn't attend any of these though.

Amazing place. A must visit for everyone. There are different zones in it, like Serengeti etc. The whole setup is lovely. Also, to see and explore the whole place properly, you need atleast two days. Do not miss the boat ride or the jungle safari while you are there. Ample parking and lots of eating options as well.

Not the widest variety of animals, but the exhibitions for the animals were amazing, and the animals were lively. Also, great food, clean toilets and good stores.

Really nice decoration of the place, amazing looking habitats for the animals! Very clean! Good food! Love it! Great place to visit! 10/10 would recommend it to friends and family!

Best Zoo I have ever been to. More similar to a theme park than a normal Zoo. 3 theme areas, a large indoor play area, several shows, Restaurants and shops. Had a blast there with my 2 year old, the baby goats were her highlight

This zoo has some very nice and well designed animal areas which allow for coming very close to the animals and they feel really comfortable with it, which is quite unique. The animals all looked really well, and the zoo is very clean.

A weird thing is that there is a rollercoaster in the park as well as a 4D experience which feels a bit random but was still fun.

There was also a crazy amount of places in the park where you could sit and eat. As in, almost more places to eat than animal enclosures in the zoo overall.

Still a very nice park and a good price for entrance. Would definitely visit again!

Hi, I've been to loads of animal parks but this one is fantastic... From start to finish I enjoyed everything they had... My kids absolutely enjoyed themselves... I must say that Holland has the best Animal parks and Zoos in Europe and this one has just been a touch better than burger zoo ... A big thanks to the everyone from booking in to looking after the Animals... I can recommend this establishment..

Family-friendly park. Nice boat ride, safari car tour, a little coaster and warm wok food is a big surprise! €10 wok with you choosing whatever you want (chicken, beef, vegetables, shrimp and tauge) with free ajar / bawang goreng / keropok.

The heated area of tropical animals and birds is so cool. Birds walking around and seeing the dreamy butterflies is just amazing.

The staffs are very friendly and caring😍.

Wildlands is hands down the best zoo I've been to so far. Had a wonderful experience with my family. So much to do and see! Definitely worth a visit.

Entry went quick. I do suggest booking tickets in advanced. Waiting time for the Safari Ride did not take that long either if you have the patience. I'm not sure about the 4D or rollercoaster as we did not try those. Boat Ride we did not wait at all cause we went there at the end of our adventure. Overall, everything was efficient.

Wildlands is clean and the decorations for each themed areas were lovely. The animals look happy and well taken care of which is a big plus for me! Keep up the good work, guys! They were so fun to observe and interact with. So were the plants and flowers! Was in awe with all the beautiful flowers I saw there 🤩

Big place yet organized. You do not feel too tired to keep the adventure going. I love the themes they have for each sections. I enjoyed the rainforest boat ride a lot after a long day of walking around.

We ate at the Momma's Restaurant and the burgers were delicious! Loved the Lemon Lime Slushie and the cup it comes with it!

There are tons of other food options depending on the area you are at but we did not get to try those.

Each area has their respective themed souvenir shops as well!

The animal facts were simple and fun to read.

Staff were friendly!

The only suggestion I have is to have an English narrator also during the Safari/Boat Ride for the tourists. I personally understand Dutch but would be good to keep English in mind for the ones who don't. I also noticed that there are no English maps upon entry.
