The stadium is located at ovom in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The stadium hosts several sporting events home and abroad and has produced champions such as Daniel Baralate Igali the Olympic resting champion and others

The program was sanctioned by Nigeria Cricket Federation led by Mr Uyi Akpata as President and sponsored by PETS Foundation for the purpose of developing the noble game of cricket in the region.

Pupils with their Games Teachers from various schools in Yenagoa participated in the South South Cricket Summer Slam Season 3 excitedly which was held on Friday 2nd September.

They were over 150 in attendance.
The amiable and articulate Director of Sports, Bayelsa State Sports Council, Sir Braveman Wodi graced the occasion with his physical presence. Some others were the National Development Manager (South) Nigeria Cricket Federation, Mr Tonye Timinadi, Chairman Bayelsa Cricket Association, Dr. Ileimokumo Ogregade, Secretary, Bayelsa Cricket Association, Hon Richard Kenneth, Nigeria Cricket Federation Development Officer in Bayelsa State who doubles as board member Bayelsa Cricket Association, Reverend Tonye Ayamah, Head Coach Bayelsa Cricket Association who's also Technical Director, Bayelsa Cricket Association, Mr Pakribo Telema-Daregoe and Alambo Datonye, the Chairman Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Bayelsa State Chapter.

I liked Samson Siasia sports Complex because it is situated in a centralized place in the city of Yenagoa and it is a place where people keep theirselves fit by engaging in sporting activities

Beautiful place. If you're in Bayelsa for the first time, you should definitely visit this place. There's a track,football field,basketball field etc... It's opposite the government house too so it's pretty secure.

Sports Complex is a great place to train. You'll find fellow sports enthusiasts and athletes who will encourage you and help you in your journey to get fit.

A nice 👍 place to go you need to try it

It was fun watching football match between Bayelsa United and a club from Lagos State. It was 3:1 against the Lagos team.

It's a relaxation spot with serene ambience...
You can sit back and watch various games ranging from football to outdoor and indoor athletics...this place holds memories for me
