As a foreigner, immigration check was pretty fast because I was the only one on the flight, It's weird that after I got my luggage I had to go through a luggage inspection before I left the airport, even after my luggage got checked and I was about to leave 2 officers stopped me and asked if I had any food inside the bags I said I don't have any food in my bags, then they pulled me aside and asked me to open the bags I said My bags just got inspected and no one said anything, then he said put some money in the passport and hand it over to me so you we don't have to check your bags, I didn't mind I slipped a 10$ bill in his hand and left, right after I paassed him another security officer stopped and asked for lunch money I said I don't have change and kept moving, TIP (DON'T PAY ANYTHING TO ANYONE UNLESS YOU REALLY HAVE TO)

Everything there is actually great but my only concern is them not permitting travelers’ relative or partner to accompany them to at least the check in point

Airport is looking better than earlier this year, with some other improvements on the way.

Point of note: when entering the airport, you pay a toll free of ₦300. If you're going to wait at the airport for any reason, be it at the domestic or foreign, then you'll have to pay parking fee of ₦500 for the first 1hr and ₦200 for subsequent hours you spend at the airport.

Ensure to park properly at the car park section before getting out of your car, else the airport security would fine you or impound your car.

Finally, read the signs at the airport and ask questions if need be.

I so much love it. The organisation is top notch, the customer service and the general ambience of ease and comfort without the need to rush. Everything is done at a controlled pace and chill. It is very obvious that everyone knows their individual role and play their part to ensure things run smoothly. Car park, purchase of keys for the safety of your luggage, bags, etc

Which is the best airport in Nigeria?
You answered right! Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. Even though we don’t match most foreign airports in the world, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport is well on its way there. This is the neatest airport in Nigeria with proper implemented policies and I’m referring to the international wing (strictly in my opinion). For those who have same opinion and has had the opportunity to travel out of the country through the airport, you can attest to this. Those who are yet to see the beauty, you will one day soon get to behold the airport. The airport has the feel of a foreign country, as if to say you’ve left already.
All I’m saying is that Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport is a nicely structured airport. 😎

Movement circulation is very ok. However one must pay 300 naira to gain entrance and 500 naira to use the parking lot. If one will park overnight, that is 5,000 naira. Note if you miss your way, there is n turning back in until you pay at the toll gate again.

Great. My experience here at the airport was a pleasant one. Despite being a festive period, orderliness was maintained.

At the booking/boarding points, the attendants were nice and also provided appropriate answers to questions while maintaining a good and friendly attitude.

Covid 19 protocols were strictly observed here. Escalators were closed temporarily, which I think was due to Covid-19. However, stairs are accessible and the elevator too is available for use. But, I will advise you just use the stairs, some people got stuck while I was there but it was rectified though.
