Akwa Ibom State Secretariat

Akwa Ibom State Secretariat houses most of the ministries of the State Government. It is a beautiful work environment, with paved roads, trees and flowers. It is has a conference hall and 10 three storey buildings housing each ministry. There us a football field and a parking lot for visitors as well as staff.

Akwa Ibom State secretariat is the seat of administration of the state in uyo. Beautiful and simply outstanding. Functional Architecture and beautiful lawns. The secretariat houses 80% of the administrative ministries. Built by the then Military administrator wing commander Idongesit Nkanga and refurbished and completed by Arc. Obong Victor Attah during his administration. The roads are concrete and asphalt tarred. Covered outdoor car parks. Banks to service the workers. Marked ministries for easy identification. Football pitch. Nature friendly environment with trees as canopies and beautiful flowers. Fire Service Department on standby 24/7.

Nice and serene environment, filled with activities

This is the state Civil Service Secretariat. It host a good number of Offices of ministries, departments and agencies.

It's located in a part of town in Uyo called Abak road. Here all the state ministries have their offices that they carry out their day to day office activities. It has alot of business activities in it and even have a small market close to it which helps staff to get stuff home, if they close late. It's also accessible with good road networking and serene environment.

Quite spacious, though buildings needs and departmental blocks need some refurbishing. Old furniture in offices deserve to be changed for goodness sake,

Oh memories when I came across this..did my youthservice here and such a great place,the officials are polite and welcoming. Generally uyo is like home..I think almost everyone that served there can say they had an awesome time.

This Secretariat is owned by Akwa Ibom State government and it is home to most of the offices of the various ministries that make up the state government.
These ministries include: ministry of finance/internal revenue service, ministry of health, ministry of Agriculture, ministry of environment, etc.
If you need to renew you motor vehicle license, renew your driver's license, get tax certificate, or any other State government related business, this is where to do so.
