Opens everyday except Sundays (although some private shops not basically/strategically situated inside the market can choose to open on Sundays).
You can buy wholesale goods like hair extensions, clothing materials(tailoring materials) and provisions. You can also get your foodstuffs, meat, chicken, gifts etc. Not forgetting that there are different beauty salons, tailors and other artisans available.
There are basically no good time to shop; anytime from Monday's to Saturdays you can walk into any shop & buy what you want.
NB; sometimes, certain lines could be holding prayer meetings, during which they might not attend to you, but be patient, it doesn't last more than 45 mins, you can walk around & come back later.

Best place for food stuffs and groceries shopping.

This market has evolved o. You can buy so many things from here now, though the items are becoming really expensive.... This is a local market and as such, you can't order jack! You gotta go do your shopping yourself or send someone across to do it for you!

This market is as old as God knows when and it has fed so many families and still counting.

If you're looking to buy vegetables like beetroot, cinnamon, amongst other spices, you're definitely not gonna get it from here.

When it comes to been courteous (with respect to the sellers), don't bother, it's not sold here, neither will it ever be available.

Several years ago, just after I learnt about the honey beans specie, I sauntered into the market to get mine. Having gone round the market, nobody seems to have the beans I was looking for. Not until I met a little girl selling beans as well. She said she had honey beans and sold the beans to me. I got home, prepared it, everybody at home was like, there's practically no difference between this beans and the regular beans, abeg, stop looking for it.

It took me 1 full year to realize that that little girl practically sold the normal brown beans to me!!! This was because we eat only iron beans, so I didn't know about other species.

How did I know?

When I relocated to another state in search of a job. I stayed with a relative who eats only honey beans. She was the one that showed me the seed... 😱😱😱

I WAS SHOOK!!! A little gurl deceived me into buying the normal big seed of brown beans as honey beans!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
And I was forming big girl!!! Asking her for jara and she was seriously putting... My chest!!! I felt like returning the school fees my parents paid for me....

Right about now, I no longer eat the over hyped honey beans, mbok. Who honey beans epp?

A lot of things have changed in this market. Majority of the bungalow shops have been converted to one-storeyed buildings. We now have more sellers than buyers.

You can buy virtually most of the things you need.
