IMSU has a spacious campus with modern infrastructure, including well-equipped laboratories, libraries, and lecture halls. There are also recreational facilities like sports fields and a student center.
I loved it at first sight and would visit again soon.

IMSU helped me to harness my talents while pursuing my education. If you are very irritated by cultists, avoid living around Bishop's court, Okwu uratta, Back gate, and some others. The front gate (from the front gate to Bishop's court junction) and Works Layout seem better. However, you enjoy electricity more around those places mentioned earlier.

In the Philosophy department
I'm so grateful to the Philosophy Department for its thorough training, including sound professors and lecturers who were committed to their jobs and not interested in sorting.
The good side:
Over 70% of the lecturers and professors know their stuff, and because most of them are Rev. Frs., I enjoyed getting merited grades without having to sort anybody. Rev. Frs. Profs. Philip Ogbonna, George Ekwuru, Marcel Onyeocha, Okosisi, Amaku, and others were super helpful and virtuous.
It was stressful, but Dr. Wilson Anosike continued holding physical classes during the long ASUU strike to ensure we covered up. This was breathtaking. He knows every student by their name.
The popular Prof. Michael Okoro (Dee Mike) was practically a father to all students. I can't forget countless times he appreciated me on the stage with money and motivation. He doesn't just teach but inspires and is very willing to assist without asking for money.
Dr. Donald Omenukor was super sound in lecturing and Philosophy. He is my secret model. There are a lot of other amazing lectures, such as Fr. Anthony Ibe, Dr. Steve Oguji, Dr. Chidimma Ikea-Ukaulor, and Dr. Eugene. Dr. Oguji is humane!

The negative side:
Very few (20%) Philosophy lectures are corrupt and take advantage of dull students by encouraging sorting. However, they don't dare fail a bright student because it's irrational for a student to get A's in several Professors' courses and score an F in one course handled by a junior/senior lecturer.
- Student A scores an A in top professors' courses
- Student A got an A or B in other lecturers with the correct grading scheme
- Therefore, there's a strong likelihood that Student A will score an A in other courses, even if the lecturers in charge love sorting.

Most borrowed courses handled by lecturers from other departments are were a thorn in the flesh. Some of the lecturers vow not to grade bright students A no matter what they write.

Lastly, I felt frustrated when Fr. Amaku, graded every student in my set a C in the Critical Thinking module just because some people missed his classes. He didn't even consider those who didn't miss his class. I feel the pain until today because I graduated with a 4.46 CGPA, and if he had graded us correctly, I would have scored an A (no doubt) and made first class at 4.5. Just 0.6 points remaining.

IMO state university is very nice, I can see some changes and new structures in the institution. I think good work is in progress. I enjoyed my visit there, getting the right information that took me there and attention given to me by the lecturers I met there. Imsu is a very nice institution to study, the atmospheric condition is nice and suitable for studies.
