Moshood Abiola National Stadium

We had a seamless Inter House Sports @ Pitch 1, Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja, on Friday 16th February, 2024.

The place is so nice, cool and conducive for sport events and a lot of social activities which are inevitable in human lives as it well suitable for several purposes with securites services.

There's more work to do but it's a nice facility

Nature meets sport at its finest, the stadium was located along the roadside. Although the main entrance is a bit far from where the training pitch and stadiums are, it's a bit walkable. It is well equipped and very wide with different section ranging from swimming spot, to basketball court to the football pitch. Its a nice place.

Personally, no body told me the stadium was that big!!! Like you can literally go from one end of Abuja to the other ,just inside the stadium. The serenity to Is cool. And also stadium is free you don't need to pay anyone as for vendors, you should make proper enquiries if you want to host something inside.

Formerly known as the National Stadium, the MKO Abiola stadium was completed in 2003, and hosted the 8th All African games in the same year.

Though the stadium is under-cared for, it still stands as a magnificent stadium.

The Kayak section is also good and longest in Abuja. The shooting range was recently shut down (for reasons best known to the management).

The stadium is really planned out and detailed

Quite an ideal 👌 venue for a conference of the Nigerian Bar Association AGC magnitude, but the parking arrangement and onward movement of conferees to the Velodrome seem disjointed.

It's beautiful. A good sport for sports.

Great for all forms of indoor and outdoor sporting events

Very cool place with about 3-4 football pitches around the main stadium. Just that it's quiet a distance from the main gate to the stadium.

Our dear national stadium lie in ruins. Very dirty place, most of the place is overgrown with weed. That facility sure deserve better. My experience there almost moved me to tears. The velodrome which is such a beauty has become a waste.

The stadium has a little above 60,000 sitting capacity, swimming pool area, basketball court and other sport arenas.
Businesses were allowed in during my visit.
It is a great place for sight seeing and mega events.

Went therebto watch Nigeria vs Ghana WC qualifier match. The stadium has a capacity of 60,000 spectators, it was fun watching the match live. But las las Nigeria collect wotowoto...

This is Abuja's and One of Nigeria's best stadiums. Well Equipped and Standard for Football ⚽ matches and other sporting activities. I enjoyed my evening here.

Crazy story to go with Velodrome. Completed in 2003 and will be used for the first time on 26th, 27th and 28th July 2019. Amazing facility and possibly built in the wrong location for it to be used to the full extent of its capability
