American Corner Ibadan

Prior to the programme I managed in Ibadan, I didn’t know of the America Corner. There are perks attached.

Physical library with lots of books. Free access to use the space for developmental events for allotted durations. Doubles as a coworking space (depends on how you see it). I equally learnt there was free access to electricity during work hours but due to fuel subsidy removal, the generator only works within certain hours.

You need a library but not labeled one; American Corner is your go to. Plus, you get to network.

Quiet and Fantastic place for personal study and doubles as cool workspace.

Good location in Ibadan for reading, trainings and programs.

American corner is situated right beside Booksellers, Jericho. American corner has a well stocked library, the books cuts across all sectors of life and are well arranged according to the subjects. You can register to use their library by paying for subscriptions fee. The environment is quite and conducive for reading. They also let out their space for events, meetings or different programs.

I actually went to The Booksellers which is just beside American corner. Though I have also had the opportunity to attend a workshop within the American corner facility. Both places were nice places and good place to be.
