This stadium is both called Liberty Stadium and Obafemi Awolowo Stadium. However, it needs renovation or timely maintenance.

Former Liberty Stadium is NIGERIA's heritage. Unfortunately, it's totally out of shape, no maintenance at all. However, it's one of the best place for sporting activities in Nigeria.

This National stadium was one of the best. But now in shambles ....zero maintenance . I gave it a 5star rating because in 1999 it was one of the best stadiums in the continent of Africa

Nice and spacious sporting complex with facilities such as; swimming pool,gym, standard football pitch, basketball pitch amongst others but needs a lot of maintenance to look more conducive and attract more sports lovers

Unarguably the first modern mega stadium/sport complex in Africa and some few parts of the world...

Built under the Western Nigeria's Government of the Legendary Chief Obafemi Awolowo (Africa's First Premier) in 1954 and completed in less than 9 months...

Now an old facility that needs a lot of attention and IGR as at when review was made...

The place is in a terrible state. Abandoned for too long. Just to think of it again that the minister of sports is from oyo state. Am not happy with the state of the pitch, and it's even a federal government stadium. Pls government should pls do something about it. Thank you.

One among the best stadium here in Ibadan formally called Liberty Stadium with capacity of over 15,000 people mainly to practice Games, Open Crusade and lot more. It is always neat and have a wide playground

It is a top of the game Stadium, beautiful in and out.. There is a hostel for travelers who wish to stay. Swimming pool services, Spa, Yoga centre and a gym is available

The surroundings are unkempt and it's not being used for the purposes for which it was built/established.
