Jos University Teaching Hospital

This Hospital treated my Father's kidney disease, and behold, he became sound and healthy for a couple of years. Unfortunately when he was having a crises, the entire national body of federal medical workers were on strike which did not give room for his treatment. This Hospital itself got my respect, it's got qualified doctors and health care professionals, serene environment, great facilities (especially dialysis equipments) sufficient parking spaces, great considerations for disabled people, decent public transportation, cafeteria and stall at strategic locations etc. Great place to have a medical examination.

One of the leading tertiary health care institutions in the North Central geopolitical zone of Nigeria; an apex referral point for most hospitals withing the region. I was privileged to have completed my training there and remain very proud of the level of multidisciplinary expertise available in the hospital.
The environment is quite neat, hygienic & well kept more often than not.
Service delivery & patient care however are not as optimal as one would expect of such an institution as there is always a lot of queue at clinics, pay points etc, leading to preventable delay in healthcare delivery. Wards & amenity rooms are not top notch but decent enough for a public tertiary health care institution.
There is a cafeteria within the complex where one can go grab a bite, pick a few things patients & relatives may need while on admission.
There is also a park within with vehicles conveying passengers to & fro between 8am to about 6, 7pm.
Overall, a good place to seek quality healthcare despite obvious shortcomings

It's a wonderful place to visit. It's also a big teaching hospital with many offices, lecture rooms for Medical Students with good studios. You can find good eatery there too. Thanks.
